We had a wonderful time with the van in Scotland. It enabled us have a great adventure, seeing lots of places and have greater flexibility for where we went which was great given the need for COVID safety. The van is very comfortable to drive for long journeys. It was also perhaps surprisingly comfortable to sleep in given that my husband is 6ft5! We did have some troubles with the lights, a combination of a circuit board issue and there being three separate switches for the lights, but we are pretty practical so we bought a plug in light and carried on. Ed was good about this and paid for our light. The van colour even blended in with the Scottish autumn colours! :-) Overall we had a great time and would do it again.
Motorhome and Campervan Hire in Crawley
Charlotte’s camper van was just as described and was perfect for my first experience. Warm and snug which was great as had one very stormy night- and the fairy lights were a lovely touch. The covid secure measures she’d put in place meant we could do handover really easily and quickly. I had a couple of questions while I was on my trip & Charlotte responded really quickly. All in all a great trip & I suspect I’ll be booking again.
We hired Bessie from Stefan for a week and had a great time touring South Downs with our dogs. The whole process was made easier with good communication from Stefan. Pick up and handover, efficient and informative. The rental was great for us as a staycation with our dogs and allowed us to sample motorhome life via goboony.
This was our first experience of hiring a campervan. We aim to purchase our own within the next year and wanted to try before we buy! We chose Paul's campervan as it closely matched the van/spec/conversion that we are interested in. Paul was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He responded quickly to our initial enquiries and was patient answering our many questions before we booked. He provided a video beforehand showing how everything worked and was available on the phone when we had a query whilst we were away. The van was wonderful and lived up to our expectations. A great drive, spotlessly clean, its a quality conversion with plenty of storage. The RnR bed is on a rail system which was so useful when sliding the seats forward to eat at the table or to maximise storage space in the back. The thermal blinds, heater and thermal windscreen wrap kept us really warm even though the weather was awful. The van had pots, pans, plates, cutlery, kettle etc...everything needed for cooking/eating. We really struck gold choosing Paul and his van for our first rental experience, we didn't want to give the keys back!
Our first campervan experience and we've now got the bug for more. The van was immaculately presented and Richard's a great guy to deal with. Yes, we had a couple of minor issues with the van that Richard would not have been aware of (we suspect down to a previous user) and we sorted these out ourselves. We originally booked for two of us to go to the Tour de France and it would been perfect had it not been compromised by Covid. Instead we stayed in the UK and headed north - accompanied by dogs. Our only criticism would be it's too small for two people and two large greyhounds. All was good during the daytime but the nights were a bit of an issue due to trying to satisfy the dogs' sleeping arrangements! The van was easy to drive and a perfect size for narrow roads in Scotland and the Outer Hebrides. The Ducato chassis and engine seems perfect and will certainly form the basis for any future acquisition of our own. Thoroughly recommended. Ted & Zoe (with Molly & Freddy!).
