We had a great holiday with the campervan — everything went smoothly and was exactly as John had carefully explained during check-in. We were travelling with two road bikes, and John was incredibly kind and flexible, even picking us up from the airport. We really appreciated his help and would definitely recommend him!

First time driving a vehicle larger than a car, first time in a camper van so I was more than a little nervous when the day arrived, but John's easy-going, relaxed manner and humour soon put me at ease.

If, like me, you've wanted to do this for a while but aren't sure if you can do it, I would highly recommend John's van. It's not too big but definitely not too small so for a 2 adults or a small family it's ideal!

He really took the time to explain every single detail of the campervan and it made us directly comfortable.
The good thing about this Smudger is that it's really spacious inside (it really IS bigger on the inside), but with driving it's compact so that makes even the narrowest single tracks roads in Scotland easy.
Besides that, the campervan is in really good condition, clean and got some startup products like cleaner for doing the dishes, pepper, salt and many things like that.
I really would rent this one again if I go to Scotland again.

John’s van was fully equipped, and John was absolutely helpful. We needed a child seat for our son, and he got us a perfect one. He explained everything clearly, and we didn’t have any trouble during the trip. The van was perfect for two adults and one child; you could probably manage with one more kid, although there isn’t much room inside to fit luggage or clothes.
One more plus: the automatic transmission made it easier to learn how to drive on the left!
