If we could give me than 5 stars we would. Not only does Ruaridh have the most beautiful campervan and gives an incredibly helpful handover, he is just a really nice guy. We hired Ruaridh's campervan for our honeymoon to do the NC500. He went above and beyond to make it the most perfect trip for us including leaving us a bottle of wine in the campervan fridge and giving us a gift to take away with us. Ruaridh has kitted out the campervan with everything you could need and it is perfect for the most stunning holiday in the Scottish Highlands. Through no fault of the vehicle we got a puncture and Ruaridh kindly drove over an hour to meet us so that we did not have to continue our journey with the spare tyre. I could not recommend Ruaridh and his campervan enough!

I hired this van with a friend and we had a fantastic time exploring the NC500 over 8 days in all weathers.. We became very fond of the van during our trip. I loved driving it and it managed the mountain passes without issue. It’s comfortable and thoughtfully kitted out with everything you need for your trip. The bed is also super comfy. Ruaridh and Julia are lovely, kind and genuine people. Ruaridh took the time to give us a detailed and thorough intro to the van and he was responsive throughout our trip. He shared some great tips of stop off on the way if asked. He even collected us from the airport and dropped us off after which made the whole process so simple and efficient.
If this van is available for your dates and is what you are looking for then you are lucky! Snap it up while you can and enjoy!

Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Ruaridh was so helpful before collection and really put us at ease with any concerns we may have had and also sent us a really helpful checklist to use.
Pickup of the van was again so easy and he made us feel like he really wanted us to just enjoy the vehicle for what it is!
The van itself is really well equipped, spacious and reliable. It may be old but we had literally no issues and it was far superior to any van I’ve rented previously

Ruaridh saved our trip!
Our van from Edinburgh was cancelled a day before our trip and we messaged Ruaridh last minute. He replied promptly, went out of his way to ensure the van was ready for us and picked us up from the train station.
We completed over 700 miles in the van doing the NC500. It was perfect for the narrow windy roads and fully equipped with everything we needed when staying in campsites overnight (linens, towels, kitchen equip etc.). The induction to the van was excellent and the van was very well taken care of - the sound system in the back was great!
We can’t thank Ruaridh enough for letting us hire his van, we would highly recommend to anyone else who is doing the NC500/visiting the highlands!

We had an amazing 8-day trip in the van. Perfect for 1-2 people. It is easy to drive, which makes it comfortable to take on some of the small, steep roads out there. Conveniently, the battery is charging very well when driving - we did not hook it up for electric once in the 8 days.
Ruaridh is extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us a great induction making us very comfortable with the van from the beginning and helped us with advice along the trip - he was always easy to reach, quick to reply, and sent thorough, well-considered suggestions for hikes or safe places to camp, thanks to his excellent knowledge of the area. He also supplied practical equipment like towels, duvet, etc. for the car and kindly transferred us to and from the train station which was highly convenient.

We came to Scotland on a flight and were unable to bring a lot of practical stuff for the journey in the van. So we really appreciated that Ruaridh had thought through most of the practical details and provided things - eg. washing up liquid, bedding, clothes etc.
Ruaridh was very prompt and clear with all correspondence. And was a very friendly and personable guy to deal with. He provided more service than any other rental place we can think of.

Great trip covering nearly 500 miles in this VW which has been professionally converted allowing space and comfort. Home from home feel as fully equipped including a freezer compartment, 4 burner hob and grill allowing us to experience some off grid camping. Ruaridh gave us a full induction which gave me the confidence to enjoy the time spent in this great vehicle also knowing he was at the end of the phone was a great example of his passion for you to enjoy your time spent with the VW. We were also given a lift back to the station on our return which was so helpful.

I can't explain how amazing my experience was with Ruaridh and the T4. Ruaridh put so much care and thought into everything about this experience. The van was kitted out with everything you would ever need to enjoy your trip and he explains everything so well. He also helped me out with recommendations which again were all very considered the the type of holiday I needed. I felt so well equipped for my journey in every aspect thatnks to his care and detail.
I had the most amazing trip full of walks, hikes, wildlife, reading and stunning sunsets. It was genuinely touching to see how excited Ruaridh was to hear about my adventures.
I couldn't have asked for more.
I also got to meet Ruaridhs lovely partner Julia who makes truly beautiful pottery. I purchased two mugs and will think of this trip whenever I have a cup of tea and reflect on this mini adventure.

We had the most amazing time, it was truly remarkable! The van was excellent but my partner and I both agreed that the trip wouldn’t have been the same without Ruaridh and all his careful help.
Firstly, the booking process and planning phases were seamless. Ruaridh was attentive and provided incredibly detailed information making the process stress-free. He was patient with us whilst we sent over documents for insurance. When we sent incorrect document Ruaridh was polite and understanding.
Ruaridh kindly offered to collect us from the airport which made things much easier, it was a great added service and certainly one we didn’t expect.
Ruaridh kindly took the time to share his knowledge and advice for our adventure and the suggestions made were perfect – we will forever be grateful to him for sharing his hidden gems with us. The beaches and campsites he suggested were spectacular, far exceeding our expectations.
The van is FAB! It was reliable, sturdy and warm – the perfect road trip companion. Ruaridh’s initial instructions were clear and we felt confident heading off into the wild with our trusty steed. He was cosy [maybe more so with the weather we experienced] but that’s what we expected. When we did have questions [mainly because we were being foolish] Ruaridh’s attentiveness was much appreciated. We both commented it was very reassuring knowing someone was back at base, on hand to help should we need.
If you’re considering renting a van in Scotland you MUST rent off Ruaridh, he is knowledgeable, kind and incredibly humble. We have already told many of our friends that if they travel to Scotland they must use one of Ruaridh’s vans.

Ruaridh gave a thorough run through of everything we needed to know and made some suggestions about the route we should take which actually made our trip so much better. He was relaxed and put us at ease even offered us a coffee. The whole trip was magical and the best trip/holiday we have ever had in large part due to the suggestions made by ruaridh.
