Hi, my name is Rex and I love adventures and meeting new people! While my owners have taken me on some great trips around the UK I'd like to see more so maybe you could take me out?

I’m a 2 Berth Ford Transit Leisuredrive conversion with power steering, remote central locking, drivers airbag and a dashcam installed. I've been told I drive really well. Also because I'm a short wheeled based van I'm quite easy to drive if you're not used to driving big vehicles, I also fit easily into most parking spaces making it easy when stopping off at places, however, I am quite tall which means I feel relatively roomy inside for my size and even tall people can stand up in me without hitting their head on my roof! My owner works for a Ford Main Dealer so I am regularly maintained and looked after and touch wood, I've not broken down. I'm also economical to run.

There's two comfortable seats up front with space in between for your pooch and you can get in the main part of the campervan from the cab without having to get out of the van, this is great when you park up and it's raining. I also have a Kenwood sound system with radio/CD/iPod connectivity and DVD player in the cab with speakers in the camper so you can listen to music when camping or have them in the cab. (No watching DVD's while driving though!). If you have very long legs then the drivers seat doesn't adjust too far back so that's one thing to consider...I've had 6ft tall people drive me and they said it was fine but something to bear in mind.

To make your camping trip a bit more civilised I come with a 2 ring Smev gas hob, sink with running water, small microwave which works when plugged into the 240v hook up, a fridge that runs off the leisure battery and can also be plugged into the mains (long cable included) and a TV/DVD player with an aerial so you don’t miss your favourite soaps while you’re away (runs off leisure battery).
I also have an electric warm air heater which works when you have a 240v mains hook up.
There's also a collection of DVD's you can watch. I have a table and seating area with enough room for 4 people and this converts into a bed. The bed measures 5ft 9 x 3ft 7 so if you’re the long-legged variety you may need to sleep with bent legs. But the best bit is, if you're in a really scenic place with warm weather you can fling my doors open and lie in bed looking at the beautiful scenery! I have plenty of lights in the back and two plug points. Fire Blanket and Fire Extinguisher are fitted for your safety.

Plenty of storage space (under rear seats, above the cab, in the cupboard, if not hiring the loo then under the seat and above rear doors. I come with crockery and cutlery, pans, plastic drinking cups, mugs, a chopping board in fact all the essentials you’re going to need when camping. My owners will include two camping chairs and a table for when you’d like to eat/drink outside.

I also have a portaloo (extra cleaning fee applies if you use it and it will need emptying before returning it - most campsites have the facilities) so you won’t get caught short!

You can also hire a dome gazebo (£25 per trip) with fly screen which is great and very easy to errect (it's pop up so takes only a minute or two to erect) so if the weather is not the best you can still be outside with a 360degree view while staying dry or in the evenings you can enjoy your location while being protected from being eaten alive by insects.

Free parking of your car at our address while you're on your travels.

We took Rex on a tour of the Scottish highlands. Must say that he was a joy to be in. Storage was great and all of the little extras made it very homely. Danny and Chrissy were so very easy to deal with and we are already looking at booking our next trip! Thanks Donna & John 😃 June 2021
Who to go camping with during Storm Alex? Rex the Adventurer, of course! This was my first time camping in anything other than a tent, and what a great experience it was. Rex handles really well and was snug and cosy during the wet weather. Chrissy and Dan were so helpful and a delight to meet. Here's to many more camping trips with Rex or Bessie! October 2020
Rex is a trooper for a staycation, we had a lovely time and Chrissy was lovely to deal with, thank you September 2020
‘Rex’ had everything we needed for our week away, compact and comfortable living! Easy and comfortable to drive. Very helpful and friendly owner to rent from. Would totally recommend! August 2020
Had a great holiday in Rex. The right size for me and a good little kitchen space. Bed could have been slightly longer for my taller boyfriend. Couple of issues with the van during the trip but managed to get them sorted out and Chrissy and Dan were very fair and helpful. Lovely people, cute van. Recommended ;) August 2020
