Meet Ollie – your home on the road
Meet Ollie, our 2021 Vauxhall Vivaro short-wheelbase campervan, professionally converted by Thame Valley Campers in late 2025. Compact enough to be easy and comfortable to drive, but cleverly equipped with everything you need for a brilliant camping adventure. Ollie has a 6-speed manual gearbox, air conditioning, cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. He’s also fitted with reversing and dash cameras, giving you a little extra confidence when you’re out exploring.
Sleeping & relaxing
Ollie can sleep up to four people, making him ideal for couples, friends or a small family. The pop-top roof sleeps two, while the rear rock-and-roll bed provides sleeping space for another two. There are three seats in the front cab and the rear seat has two additional seat belts. The front double passenger seat swivels around when you’re parked, creating extra usable living space and making it easier to access the pop-top. As you’d expect from a compact campervan, storage space is at a premium, but Ollie makes good use of what he has, with a combination of overhead cupboards and storage beneath the worktop.
Cooking & eating
Inside you’ll find a small sink and gas hob, along with a fridge complete with a small freezer compartment. For outdoor cooking, we also provide a BBQ. We’re big fans of al fresco cooking – the BBQ has happily catered for eight, while the paella pan is great for rustling up a proper campsite breakfast. You won’t need to pack the kitchen cupboard either. Pans, tableware, mugs, a kettle, cutlery and cooking utensils are all kept in the van ready for your trip.
Everything you need for camping
We’ve tried to include the useful extras that make campervan trips that little bit easier. Your hire also includes four camping chairs, a folding camping table, inflatable pillows, levelling blocks and a blackout cover for the windscreen. There’s also an essential toolkit, high-vis equipment and a tow rope on board. He is also fitted with a tow bar, which we can connect for your hire if required. In addition to the BBQ, Ollie also has a foldaway fire pit to cosy up around. Ollie has an electric hook-up for campsites as well as solar power to help keep the leisure battery – and, importantly, the fridge – topped up while you’re away.
Collection & returning home
If you’re driving to collect Ollie, on-street parking is available outside our house, so you can leave your own vehicle while you’re away. We know holiday plans don’t always fit neatly around standard collection and return times, so we’re very happy to discuss earlier pick-ups or later drop-offs. Where we can accommodate them around other bookings and our own plans, we’ll do our best to make things work for you.
