Cochonnette – Stealth & basic camper bus with XL bed

Cochonnette is a white VW Crafter (2015), designed for and by myself, and measuring 1.92m. I can easily stand in it, but more importantly: the bed extends from 1.60m to over 2 meters. The all-wood construction is so sturdy that even when fully extended, you can lean on the end with your full weight. German van brands are often slightly narrower than French ones (+-10cm), so I made the bed lengthwise, which also provides plenty of space widthwise: 1.78m, while a standard double bed is 1.60m. Spacious and a good night's sleep, it's always nice to be able to make the most of it while traveling.
Furthermore, Cochonnette is "stealth," which loosely translates to unnoticed. It offers peace and quiet, as it's impossible to tell from the outside that it's a campervan. Cochonnette resembles a typical white van. This literally opens doors: people have already come towards me a few times after parking, thinking I was delivering a package.
The Cochonnette is a diesel car from 2015, Euro 5 standard, meaning it will remain open in almost all city centers for years to come. In Ghent, for example, it will remain open until at least 2025.
Up front, there's room for three people and plenty of storage. For comfort while driving (noise, temperature, etc.), I opted to keep the glass partition between the front and rear.
I installed a Maxxfan for ventilation, with a remote control. It can be set in both directions: blowing in cold air and oxygen in the evening, or, conversely, blowing out cooking fumes while cooking.
There is plenty of storage space under the bed, enough for e.g. 4 bicycles or an extra mattress.
