Cochonnette – Stealth & basic camper bus with XL bed

Cochonnette is a white VW Crafter (2015), designed for and by myself, measuring 1m92. I can easily stand in it, but above all: the bed is extendable from 1m60 to more than 2 meters. The fully wooden construction is so sturdy that you can lean on the end with full weight even when extended. German van brands are often slightly narrower than French ones (+-10cm), so I made the bed lengthwise, which also creates a lot of space in width: 1m78, a normal double bed measures 1m60. So spacious and good sleep, always nice to be able to get everything out of it when traveling.
Furthermore, Cochonnette is 'stealth', loosely translated: unnoticed. It offers tranquility and possibilities that from the outside it is not visible that it is a campervan, Cochonnette resembles an average white van. This literally opens doors: people have already met me a few times after parking because they thought I was coming to deliver a package.
The Cochonnette is a diesel car of the year 2015, Euro standard 5, which means that there is free access in almost all city centers for years to come. In Ghent, for example, at least until 2025.
In the front there is room for 3 people and a lot of storage space. For comfort while driving (noise, temperature, ...) I chose to keep the glass partition between the front and rear.
I installed a Maxxfan for ventilation, with remote control. This can be set in both directions: blowing cold air and oxygen in in the evening or vice versa while cooking cooking vapor out.
There is plenty of storage space under the bed, enough for eg 4 bicycles or an extra mattress.
By the end of May 2022, I hope to have finished providing the kitchen cabinet (see design photo) and extra storage space in the back.
