Motorhome and Campervan Hire in West Dunbartonshire
We've had a good trip with Andy's motorhome even if it was Craig his son in law that we met on our arrival. Also, due to the fact it was the 1st time we drove such a vehicle, we had trouble with the fridge until we understood the way it works in motorhomes. At the end of the day, this remain a good experience, even for French used to drive "up side down".
I’d managed to persuade my husband that a motor home was the best way for us & our wee jack russell to enjoy the Wester Ross part of North Coast 500, which we didn’t have time to include last year. After much googling I came across this fabulous site then Judy’s gorgeous motor home - right price, dog friendly & onboard loo, sink & micro shower - loo most useful & surprisingly lovely shower! Judy is super welcoming & lovely to deal with, very relaxed & patient with us rooky motor homers! We had a great 4 nights/days away, the motor home was very comfortable for driving around, living & sleeping. Our dog loved it too! Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the awkward to lock side door & the tricky to engage reverse gear, but we got round that by just using the “front “ doors & trying not to reverse too much!! Would we hire Judy’s motor home again? Oh yes, a big thank you to her Highland for a fabulous break & converting my husband to future holidays on wheels & a huge thank you to Judy for trusting us with her “baby”!! 😎😍🐶🏴💞
Judy's Motorhome was perfect for our road trip around the North Coast Route 500. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Pick up of the vehicle was smooth and didn't take long at all. Perfect for my Girlfriend and I. Took our little Jack Russell along as well and he loved it! Motorhome drives like a dream and cruised up some steep hills which was a great relief. Would recommend to anyone needing it!
My boyfriend and I hired this camper in December and went wild camping in the west coast of Scotland. The camper was always cosy despite it being around zero degrees outside. There's a heater inside which we kept on low all night to take the chill off and it worked brilliantly. It was really nice to drive. We drove around 500 miles in total and found it very economical, especially for the size of it. Sue, who we picked up/ dropped the van with was lovely, very helpful. We will definitely be hiring again, especially in the winter as Scotland is beautiful with a dusting of snow on the mountains.
Van was very easy to drive and not too big for driving around town. As with all windowless vans, it helps to have the passenger get out and direct when reversing and parking. Very well designed inside. Perfectly comfortable for sleeping and plenty of space. Definitely follow their advice though and make sure you use soft squashable bags rather than hard suitcases. The cool bag was only ok - very inaccessible and awkward to use.
