Motorhome and Campervan Hire in Strathaven
Prior to arriving we were told due to an issue with another van that this van was currently out so we would be given Bottle. We absolutely loved bottle and didn't want to leave! The inside is very simple to use, changing from sofas with a table into a bed. The stove and grill was great and was used daily with no issues. Although the van is 11 years old, it only has 38000 miles on the clock and drove like a dream. The one time I needed to contact Angelique regarding the van, she replied literally within seconds. This was at 10pm! She was a great host and I will definitely be using Angelique and her vans when we next return to Scotland!
Thank you Ruth for allow me to hire you amazing little mini. Well and truly was looked after and supported along the journey from start to finished. Could not be more satisfied with the quality of the car and gear, advice and friendly service. To top it off dropping us off at the airport was a massive help and very much appreciated. Would thoroughly recommend this little mini to anyone wanting to check out Scotland and you can be guaranteed that you will be looked after by the owner. Thanks for a wonderful experience
My boyfriend and I hired this camper in December and went wild camping in the west coast of Scotland. The camper was always cosy despite it being around zero degrees outside. There's a heater inside which we kept on low all night to take the chill off and it worked brilliantly. It was really nice to drive. We drove around 500 miles in total and found it very economical, especially for the size of it. Sue, who we picked up/ dropped the van with was lovely, very helpful. We will definitely be hiring again, especially in the winter as Scotland is beautiful with a dusting of snow on the mountains.
Van was very easy to drive and not too big for driving around town. As with all windowless vans, it helps to have the passenger get out and direct when reversing and parking. Very well designed inside. Perfectly comfortable for sleeping and plenty of space. Definitely follow their advice though and make sure you use soft squashable bags rather than hard suitcases. The cool bag was only ok - very inaccessible and awkward to use.
We had such a great time touring around Scotland in our VW camper van! It has all the necessities, and is a very practical choice for seeing the countryside. You are able to sneak in places where larger RV's cannot, and it especially helps when on the single-track roads in rural areas. 10/10 for communication and fairness from Jacoba. She is very reasonable and super easy to talk to. We would 100% recommend using one of her vehicles for your camping vacation!
