We recently hired Shroomie to take on the NC500 and had a fantastic experience overall. The handover was smooth, and Kara gave us all the information we needed to get started, along with a really helpful instruction pack for the van. Inside, the cab was spacious and comfortable, making long drives much easier. The bed mattress was very comfortable, and clean bedding was provided, which was a really nice touch. One thing to note is that the bed is a little short for anyone over 5.2", and there are overhead cupboards above the bed, which we found ourselves bumping our heads on more than once—something to watch out for. It’s also worth knowing that the onboard water isn't drinking water, so we had to buy bottled water for drinking and cooking. The waste water from the sink and shower is collected outside the van in a bucket, which worked fine but is something to be aware of. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the shower or awning, so can’t comment on those features. That said, Shroomie was incredibly easy to drive, even as someone who’s never driven anything larger than a car before. If you're thinking of doing the NC500, we’d definitely recommend this camper—just consider giving yourself more time to take it all in at a slower pace!

We rented shroomie for a child free quick break after a wedding to drive round Skye, a destination we’d been dreaming of for years. We drove for 10 hours before picking up the van and Kara was so accommodating. We fell in love instantly… we even cancelled our hotel reservation for the night of the wedding and stayed in shroomie! it had absolutely everything you can think off. We lived off grid, very comfortably and warm (in November). The van is so clean and well presented, very easy to drive, even as someone who’s 156cm tall!! We found it to be very good on fuel and didn’t eat in to hardly any of the budget we set for travelling. I can almost guarantee that it won’t be the first and last time we hire shroomie, thank you Kara!
