Bilbo – 4 berth Volkswagen campervan from 2018

Bilbo is our much loved Type 6 campervan. Based out of central Scotland and a short distance from Edinburgh, you can be in rolling hills and remote areas within 10 minutes of our location.

Freshly converted in February 2025, Bilbo comes well equipped - gas hob, sink, fridge/freezer, rock & roll sofa/bed for two and a bright orange pop top for sleeping two children or one adult. There is also an all important diesel heater to make those cooler nights more comfortable. The front twin seats swivel to create more space and a living/eating area.

The rock & roll bed measures 1.8m x 1.1m and comes with a quality, self inflating mattress. The pop bed upstairs measures 1.8m x 1.1m and also comes with an inflating mattress, specifically designed for these campers.

A full demonstration of all features will be performed at pick up.

Bilbo is well equipped with cruise control, air conditioning and a leisure battery for off grid. There is also an electric hook up point for campsite use.

In terms of inventory, this includes pots and pans, cutlery, utensils, kettle and much more (see Inventory List). For your safety, a fire blanket and First Aid kit are provided.

The owners have a passion for the outdoors and extensive knowledge of Scotland. We would therefore be delighted to help you plan a great break. Alan (proprietor) has explored much of Scotland in the van and has detailed routes, including stops, should you require.

The van is insured for drivers between 21 and 79 who have had at least two years of driving experience. Additionally, breakdown cover is in place for anyone using the van.
