FLO is unique, comfortable, and really easy to drive. Took my 8 year old for a trip to Devon, staying at various places en route. Even on the blowy Devon coast, it was easy to put the tent up and down, and the easy size of the van means getting down narrow country lanes was no challenge. The van is really well-equipped, with everything from an electric hob, multiple charging points and even a small cafetiere! The bed is comfortable and the tent is warm.
Ed was really helpful at all times, and has clearly put a lot of care and time into making this a great and fun experience. We will definitely be looking to book FLO again.

My partner & I were ecstatic to stumble across Flo locally, when planning our first sustainable camping trip with our two pups - returning to the Scottish Highlands.
We had an excellent two weeks travelling from the South East, up round Skye, Applecross, Sango Sandw, John O’Groats, and down to Inverness before home via the Lakes. We had a fair few meals in the van, and found the kitchen super easy to use and a god send under the boot lid when in wind and rain.
Flo is super easy to drive, and a good size even on skinny Scottish roads. Even my less confident partner found driving her an ease, and Flo survived the Applecross military road.
Ed was super helpful, and even when we got a burst tyre near Edinburgh had it replaced within a few hours. We unfortunately bought Flo back with a few dings and he was super understanding about it.
Tent can get a bit noisy in the high Scottish winds by the sea, but we made it through the trip without blowing away so a testament to its solidity!
Dogs loved it too - and we managed to get them secure after using some bungee attached to their restraints.
Overall - highly recommended.
Only improvements we could think of for Flo are some more bungee points/a netting for the back shelf so we could store more on here when travelling, and a hammer or mallet to be able to keep the awning down in the winds.

My son and I had a fantastic holiday in Flo. It was my first time driving an electric vehicle, and it was a lovely vehicle to drive and finding chargers on-the-road and at camp sites was so easy. We went to Wales (Brecon, Elan Valley, beaches). So easy to set up roof-tent and a comfortable sleep, and we also used the induction hob and fridge with no problems. Everything worked well, Ed was super helpful and nice to deal with. And it was just fun to go on holiday in a cool looking VW that is environmentally friendly. Thank you Ed.

We loved our holiday in Flo. Ed explained everything really clearly when we picked her up. The driving was gloriously smooth and silent. The conversion had lots of thoughtful, useful and beautifully executed touches. Tent was easy to pop up and not too hard to close (we got better at it as the week progressed, but either of us would have struggled to do it alone). The awning and camp chairs were great on a rainy evening. The Zapmap app was crucial for finding fast charging points. Got to the Peak District easily (though lost charge when AC came on and we didn’t notice), and travelled all round it on one charge. The main downside was the leisure battery, which we struggled a bit to charge because we never camped in a site with electric hookups. But once we figured out how to use the solar panel (and that it works even on grey days) that problem was largely solved. I’d suggest bringing a little camp stove or Kelly kettle for making a morning cuppa without relying on the cooker. Bed was supremely comfortable and I didn’t want to leave it - especially with glorious views out the windows. All in all a brilliant holiday and a highly recommended camper van.

Ed was fantastic throughout: helpful, flexible and responsive, helping us get the very best out of “Flo”. Our trip took us from Sussex, through France, Spain and then down Portugal’s coastline to Lisbon and Cascais. Flo was brilliant, not missing a beat on a very long trip that took us on everything from motorways to single track mountain roads. Flo was brilliantly kitted out for our adventure with plenty of flexible in-van and outdoor space for relaxing, sleeping and cooking. The additional power unit in the van meant we were never short of chilled food or drinks. In all our travels, we didn’t meet another fully electric camper, but did generate a lot of interest in how low-carbon (non-petrol/diesel guzzling) van-life is possible, even on long trips. We were sorry to say goodbye to Flo when we handed her back, but are looking forward to another adventure soon, either in Flo or, having tested the concept, in our own fully electric camper.

We had a fantastic weekend in the Cotswolds with Flo. It was our first time using an EV and at first a bit aprehensive about range, but it was a walk in the park. We travelled from Ed's place to the Cotswolds easily on one charge. Top tip: Look for sites that don't specifically mention "No EV Charging" in their rules. We used the campsite hookup electric to charge Flo overnight every night. Ed also recommended "Zapmap" which was useful for finding a rapid-charger on the return trip.
The camping setup is really well done with some great engineering in the pull-out kitchen. The leisure battery has plenty of charge and we cooked all meals in Flo and left the fridge running for the entire trip.
The roof-tent is really comfortable but make sure you try and park on a flat surface.
We're looking forward to using Flo for more trips in the future!

I hired Flo for a couple of weeks roadtrip and had a fantastic time. I hopped from national park to national park all the way through Wales and up to the Cairngorms in Scotland. I mainly charged at campsites overnight which made it super easy. When I did have to charge at public chargers I didn't have any trouble as there seem to so many of them. All of the gear in the van worked great. Thanks Ed for a great trip!

We had a great time with Flo and despite the weather forecast we managed to enjoy a blissful weekend away in East Sussex and Kent. Flo took us to Hastings, Rye, Dover and Margate without a hitch and ensured we had restful nights on the very comfortable foam mattress :)
