Vaughan – Volkswagen California Ocean Campervan 2024 - Fully Equipped

Say 'Hello' to Vaughan. Our fantastic VW factory build California Ocean. We have had him since new in March 2024 and have had some great trips in him. He is always a dream to drive and live with and all of the features and specification work so well!

He is very comfortable to drive and eats up the miles over longer distances. He can do over 500 miles on a tank of diesel averaging 35mpg. In fact on a recent journey back through France we managed 42mpg over 200 miles! He really makes far better practical sense over a large luxury car. This is helped by the driving assistant and safety features such as: Parking Assistant, Reversing Camera, Lane Departure Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, The Smooth Auto Gearbox, Super Bright LED Headlights, and that high commanding driving position. These are amongst many features that aren't available on Van Conversion models, and the rear tailgate is far more practical than 'barn doors' on converted vans. It also has rear ice-cold air conditioning and diesel heater for those chillier nights.

He's equipped with many camping essentials to help provide the full campervan experience, these include the VW supplied mains hook-up cable, levelling chocs, shower attachment, outdoor gas hob and all of the relative ancillaries. We also give you two keys for the van - just in case... and we fill the fridge with complimentary drinks to get you on your way. Being an Ocean model there is outdoor table and chairs - which are stored neatly in the tailgate. We have also added another pair of camping chairs and table. There is also full set of varied crockery, glasses, utensils and cooking pans etc. And a whole collection of campervan gadgets around the van that we have felt will be useful. The five gallon water tank and 60 hour leisure battery make off-grid overnight stays more adventurous. And as you'll see in the photos it has an efficient fridge, double gas hob and sink with running water.

Sleeping arrangements are '2 up, 2 down' with the electically operated pop-top raised. There is also an airbed that fits within the side with *Comfortz awning walls that are also supplied meaning more living and sleeping space if need be?

And the boring bits: There is a set of emergency hi-vi vests, first aid kit & fire extinguisher - all ready to hand just in case.
