Wilma – Meet Wilma, our treasured VW T6 SWB camper van

Meet Wilma, our treasured VW T6 SWB camper van. Converted to a high standard by ‘Big Wave Campers’ Wilma is our home away from home, providing a unique sense of freedom and precious memories.

An outdoor gas cooker and furniture is included with the hire, allowing for alfresco dining during those summer evenings. A Vango Galli III awning with a removable bedroom pod can be provided for an additional fee, giving you ample space and flexible sleeping arrangements.

We provide a complimentary welcome hamper containing some sweet treats and camping essentials. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are also provided free of charge for that all-important cuppa once you reach your holiday destination.

Bedding can be provided at an additional cost of £40. Treat yourself to 100% Egyptian cotton linen which has been steam pressed and provided by a local laundry company. Save yourself the hassle of endless washing of bedding and towels upon your return from your holiday. The package includes: Double (5cm) memory foam mattress topper; double duvet; 2 x pillows; duvet cover; sheet; 2 x pillow cases, 2 x bath towels and a hand towel.

‘How to videos’ will be emailed to you upon your booking which you can watch at your leisure prior to your holiday. The videos will guide you through the workings of the van providing a seamless start to your adventures with Wilma. There will also be written instructions that reflect the videos and can be found in the glove box.

We are in a fortunate position to offer free off road parking for 2 vehicles while you are away on your travels. We own a local car sales business in Taunton (10 minutes from J26 of the M5) where Wilma will be collected from and your own vehicles can be left. The site is covered with CCTV but vehicles are left at owners’ risk. (Don’t worry we won’t sell your car whilst you’re away!!)

Collection
Wilma will be available to collect from 3PM onwards on the first day of hire (please allow 30 minutes for a handover).
Wilma must be returned by 11AM on the last day of hire (unless there is a prior agreement) – please note you will be liable to a £50 additional charge for every hour Wilma is late returning.

Insurance
Wilma has full comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover for one driver aged between 25-75 years. Any additional drivers (between 25-75 years) will be an additional £8 per day. Please note that Wilma’s insurance excess is £500 which you will be liable for out of your security deposit if a claim is made.

Wilma will have a full tank of diesel for when you arrive – please return her full.

Mileage
Inclusive mileage of 1,000 miles per week of hire (pro rata) - i.e: 425 for a three-day hire / 1,430 for a ten-day hire (thereafter 50p / mile).
