Camper Charly – High-roof camping bus for campers and those who love to travel

Dear camping friends and motorhome enthusiasts,

The Nugget is a brilliant multi-tool that allows you to use pitches as well as camping sites. We were on the road with it for 8 years. At first we spent a lot of time on campsites - in the last 2 years we have mainly been on pitches with sanitary facilities.
It is also possible to travel independently with it, but due to the existing battery capacity, this will only last for about 2 days if the cool box is to remain in operation.

We can recommend it for a family with one or two children or two adults travelling alone. Especially for those who have previously travelled with a bike, tent and air mattress. But also for those who value the camping feeling and a camper that can go anywhere you can go with a normal 5 m van (but please not into a parking garage). And of course, dogs are allowed too.

Despite having 4 sleeping places, it is not suitable for 4 adults, as it would be very cramped and the permissible total weight would certainly be exceeded in full "camping attire".

Otherwise, when the weather is nice, camping life only takes place in front of the camper under the awning - and when it's bad, in the dinette with a fine drink and a nice film (assuming you've "charged" your notebook or tablet at home with enough things worth watching).

I could write a lot more here about the advantages of a Nugget with a high roof compared to other camper vans.
But I think this is unnecessary. If you're looking for a nugget, you know what you want and what you're getting - otherwise there's enough information about the nugget on YouTube.

The photos may be a bit confusing, as they show our camper partly before 2022 and partly after.
In 2022, we converted the camper to black 17" rims on all-season tires, replaced the awning with a new one in anthracite, mounted a bike rack on the tailgate (which was mainly used as a towel and clothes dryer) and had the bench and front seats covered in leather. Furthermore, the starter batteries were replaced and the two AGM body batteries of 95 Ah each.

The camper van is equipped with everything you need for camping.
In addition to a 40-litre fresh water and waste water tank, a 2-burner gas cooker, a sink with a hot water mixer tap, a 40-litre cool box in the L-shaped kitchen and a Porta Potti, there is also a small gas cartridge grill for outside, two camping chairs with high backrests and 2 folding camping chairs. There is also cutlery, glasses, cups, pans, pots, etc. on board.
There is a connection for an outside shower (cold water) at the rear.
The awning comes with a front part, two side parts and two corner parts, which can be used to create a partially or completely closed awning. Alternatively, we can also provide an awning (see photos).
Pegs, tools etc. as well as electrical cables (1 x 20 m and 2 x 10 m) plus various adapters for Schuko and CEE are also on board.
There is also a small sanitary and shower tent, which, in addition to its actual function, also serves as an additional “garage”.
A bicycle rack with 2 rails for the trailer hitch is also available for the camper.

When you take over the camper, you only have to equip it with your personal items such as toiletries, towels, clothing, food, drinks, etc.
Bed linen is not on board - you will have to bring your own (we recommend bringing your own sleeping bags).

PS: The advert specifies times for picking up and returning the camper. However, we think that when you get in touch, you can agree on times that work best for everyone involved. Those who are inexperienced with Nuggets should plan on 2-3 hours for the briefing.
