If you’re considering hiring out your motorhome on Goboony, you may be wondering how our payment system works. Let’s break it down for you.
How does the payment schedule work?
Our payment system is specifically designed to make payments from the hiring party to you as simple and reliable as possible. The payment schedule is structured as follows:
Once you accept a booking request, the hiring party is given 72 hours to confirm the booking by paying the first instalment. As soon as the traveller pays the first instalment, the cancellation conditions are in effect. If a traveller doesn’t pay the first instalment, the booking is automatically cancelled so your motorhome remains available to be hired out to someone else.
In the period leading up to the starting date of the booking, the traveller will continue to pay the second and final instalment, along with the deposit. If the booking is made within 3 weeks of the starting date of the booking, the traveller will pay the full hire fee and deposit in one single instalment.
All payments made by travellers on our platform are held by our third-party payment provider Stripe.
When do I get paid?
We will instruct Stripe to release your earnings to you 24 hours after you hand over your vehicle to the hiring party. Please note that Stripe only transfers on weekdays, excluding public holidays. Once the transfer has been made, the amount will be paid into your bank account within 1-5 business days, depending on your bank. Please note that this payment can only take place if you have completed the verification process on our platform.

Do I have to make use of the Goboony payment system?
Yes, the Goboony payment system is set up in a way that both the owner of the vehicle and the hiring party are optimally protected. Receiving payment off the platform for bookings made on Goboony is not possible, as this way we cannot provide safety and security.
