After traveling around Southern Europe for six months in our self-built camper, we noticed that it's been sitting still a lot, and we think that's a shame!
We've designed the campervan for tall people; if you're under 1.90m tall, you can easily stand upright in the van. The bench seat also converts into a bed 140cm wide and 200cm long. The campervan's dimensions are L2H2, meaning you can still park neatly in a parking space while still having the height and space to comfortably sit inside in inclement weather.
The kitchen includes a 3-burner stove, a super good cooler (it can even freeze if you want) and cooking and eating utensils such as pans, crockery, cutlery, etc. We also make sure that all basic cooking utensils such as olive oil, pepper, salt, some herbs, coffee and tea are ready for you.
All the camping essentials are stored in the "garage" (the space under the bed, which is also accessible through the camper's rear doors). This includes four camping chairs, a camping table (there are also two extendable tables in the camper), a tarp that can be attached to the camper, electrical cables with extensions, and even a hammock.
The campervan is ideal for both off-grid camping (without external power or water connections) and camping. There's a solar panel on the roof, and the battery charges while driving. If you want to use heavier electrical appliances like an electric coffee maker or kettle, you'll need power at the campsite, but for everyday electricity (like charging your laptop or phone), the battery is easily sufficient. A full water tank will last you about three days off-grid. A Porta Potti toilet can also be installed in the campervan for an additional fee (due to the extra cleaning costs).
There is also a bicycle carrier on the back that can carry 2 bicycles up to a maximum of 20 kilos (light racing bikes are suitable, city bikes are not).
The camper is well-maintained and drives like a dream. It handles hills with ease and accelerates (relatively ;) ) quickly. It has a manual transmission.
With Paulcamper's day insurance, you are well insured for roadside assistance, damage on the road, etc.
We hope you have as many wonderful adventures with our campervan as we do! Feel free to contact us with any questions. For more photos and information, you can also visit our Instagram page (casendekrullenbus).
