This isn’t just any campervan — this is our pride and joy. Once upon a time, it was a hardworking OVO Energy van installing smart meters around the UK. Now, after a little TLC, a lot of engineering know-how, and more cups of tea than we’d like to admit, it’s living its second life as a fully electric, eco-friendly camper.

Driving it feels smooth, quiet, and just a bit smug (in the best way). You’re gliding along knowing you’re leaving nothing behind but tyre tracks and happy memories.

Inside, we’ve built it to be practical, comfortable, and ready for adventure — with just enough humour in the details to keep it fun. The kettle whistles on the induction hob, the fridge keeps the milk cold, and the bed folds out quicker than you can say, “Who packed the biscuits?”

The bedding included is a double sleeping bag (can separate into 2x singles), a base sheet and pillows, also included are 2x camp chairs and a low level small table.

Heavy duty Bike Rack @ £25 per hire period - including trailer board

Early Collection from 9am @ £40 (only with prior arrangement, normal collection after 3pm)
Late Drop off up to 2pm @ £40 (only with prior arrangement, normal drop off before 11am)

Late drop off without prior arrangement with incur additional costs, please call ahead if you are going to be late. Charging Woody up again for the next Hire can take time and have a knock on effect for other users, please help us out and keep us informed if things are not going as you planned.

1. What are the three batteries on board, and what do they do?

Traction Battery – This is Woody’s main “fuel tank,” powering her electric motor for driving.

Starter Battery – Just like in a normal van, this powers the radio, dashboard, and essential vehicle systems.

Habitation Battery – This is your home-on-wheels power source. It runs the camper’s lighting, sockets, fridge, induction hob, and other comforts

2. How do I charge the Traction Battery (the driving battery)?

Public Rapid Chargers – Plug in at motorway services or charging stations using the standard charging port. Quick and easy.

Campsite Hook-Up (with the Granny Charger) – By plugging the Granny Charger into Woody, she safely charges herself through her onboard electrics. This clever system manages the load to prevent tripping the campsite supply, so you can relax while topping up the traction battery. You’ll leave with a full charge and up to 180+ miles of range.

Campsite Hook-Up – Fuel Up for Free – Most campsites don’t charge by the kilowatt-hour. Electric hook-up is usually included in your pitch fee, so you can charge Woody’s “fuel tank” at no extra cost. Think of it as filling up for free while enjoying your holiday.

At Home (Granny Charger) – Plug into any normal 3-pin household socket. It’s slower than a public charger but perfect for overnight charging before a trip.

3. What is the Granny Charger?

The Granny Charger is a portable charging cable that lets you charge Woody from any standard 3-pin plug. It’s slower than a rapid charger but incredibly versatile — ideal for charging at home, at a friend’s house, or at campsites.

4. What about the solar panels?

Woody’s roof-mounted solar panels work quietly in the background, topping up both the habitation battery and the starter battery. It keeps your lights, fridge, and radio running, even off-grid.

5. What’s the Onboard Inverter and why is it clever?

Woody has a powerful inverter that provides 230V mains power from the habitation battery — even when you’re not plugged into a campsite hook-up. You can run your kettle, laptop, or other essentials anywhere.

Thanks to an automatic changeover system, Woody seamlessly switches between campsite power and inverter power. You don’t need to flick switches or swap plugs — your sockets are always live, no matter where the power is coming from.

6. How does the Range Extender work?

Woody’s range extender is like a secret backup plan. It uses the inverter to push energy from the habitation battery back into the traction battery via the Granny Charger. In simple terms: your camper’s living battery can give the driving battery an extra boost when you need it most.

7. How do I charge the Habitation Battery?

10. What about exploring and day trips?

Woody is built for flexibility:
Add a Drive-Away Awning to your booking, and you can leave a base set up at the campsite while you head out exploring.

At under 2m tall, Woody fits in most car parks where bigger motorhomes can’t.

Being electric, she glides into inner cities with ease, and there are no ULEZ charges to worry about.
