Family‑Built Campervan – Compact, Cleverly Designed and Perfect for Adventures

We designed and built this campervan to comfortably fit our family of five while still benefiting from the manoeuvrability of a medium‑wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter. It offers smart use of space, practical storage solutions and a layout that works brilliantly for families or groups.

🛏️ Flexible Sleeping & Storage
- The rear bunk beds are designed with practicality in mind. A section of the lower bunk folds away, giving easy access to bags and equipment.
- The upper bunk can be removed if needed, but also works well as extra storage for bedding and luggage.
- The front double bed allows children to settle down for the night while adults can continue relaxing in the living area.
- A pull‑out unit houses a cassette toilet for night‑time use and slides away neatly during the day to maximise space.

🍳 Practical Kitchen & Living Space
- The kitchen remains fully accessible even when all beds are set up.
- The layout ensures you can cook, relax and move around comfortably without compromising sleeping arrangements.
🛠️ Front Overhead Bed System
The front overhead bed is made up of two slide‑out rails and four lightweight frames that assemble into a solid double bed while keeping the living space usable underneath.
It can be set up by one practical person, though it’s even easier with two.

European travel is only permitted with prior written approval from Artisan Adventures Campervan Hire. Customers must carry the original VE103 certificate and all required travel documentation whilst abroad.

European Travel Terms & Conditions

European travel is strictly by prior written agreement only and must be requested at the time of booking or no later than 14 days before departure. Requests made within 14 days of travel cannot be guaranteed.

A European travel surcharge will apply to all hires travelling outside of the United Kingdom. This surcharge covers additional administration, insurance arrangements, VE103 documentation and European travel preparation.

Travel is only permitted to approved countries authorised in writing by Artisan Adventures Campervan Hire. Travel to non-approved countries is strictly prohibited and may invalidate insurance and breakdown cover.

Customers travelling in Europe must ensure they carry all legally required documentation and safety equipment for the countries visited.

All approved European hires will include:

VE103 Vehicle on Hire Certificate
Insurance Certificate and Green Card (if applicable)
European Breakdown Cover confirmation
Emergency contact numbers
European accident report form
Country-specific equipment checklist

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure all drivers comply with local driving laws and requirements in each country visited.

Failure to comply with these conditions may result in insurance being invalidated and/or additional charges being applied.
