Freddie is a beautifully presented modern van conversion based in North Oxfordshire, set up to a genuinely high standard with everything you need for a comfortable, self-sufficient adventure. Whether you're heading to the coast, the hills, or somewhere in between — Freddie has you covered from the moment you set off.
🛏️ The sleep setup
A large, comfortable fixed bed in the rear means you'll actually wake up refreshed. Generous storage throughout keeps everything tidy however long your trip. A camp bed is also included, allowing a third person such as a child to sleep comfortably in the van.
⚡ Fully off-grid capable
Two 120Ah batteries (240Ah total) paired with dual solar panels mean Freddie can genuinely go off-grid for the full duration of your trip. Campsite EHU hook up is also available if you prefer and extra boost. A 1000W inverter delivers full 240V power when you need it — charge laptops, run appliances, or power anything you'd use at home.
🍳 Cooking & cooling
Gas stove and a fridge mean proper meals on the road — not just snacks. Running water inside makes washing up easy, and there's plenty of storage for all your food and kit.
🚿 Your own hot shower — anywhere
Freddie comes with a JOOLCA gas-powered hot water shower unit and a privacy shower tent, so you're never dependent on campsite facilities. Hot showers, on your schedule, wherever you are.
🏕️ Your own outdoor basecamp
A 3m x 3m freestanding awning creates a brilliant sheltered outdoor living space wherever you park up. A folding table, outside matting and a camp bed that doubles as awning seating are all included — everything you need to set up a proper basecamp.
🎒 Everything is included
Freddie comes loaded with extras as standard: full JOOLCA shower setup and 50L water tank, 3m x 3m awning, outside matting, folding table, chemical toilet, levelling chocks and gas canister — no need to hire anything extra or pack light.
📱 Find your way in style
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay built in — connect your phone via USB and use Google Maps or stream your road trip playlist through the van's speakers.
🏄 Hit the water — paddleboards available to hire
Two paddleboards available at £25 each including buoyancy aids. Perfect for lakes, rivers and coastal bays — simply message when booking to add them on. A £50 refundable security deposit is required at the point of collection, returned in full upon safe and clean return of the boards.

Pick up directly from our private driveway in North Oxfordshire. Leave your own vehicle safely on our secure driveway for the duration of your hire.

🧹 Cleanliness — Freddie will be handed over clean, tidy and well presented. We ask that it is returned in the same condition. If the van requires cleaning on return, a mandatory cleaning fee of £30 will be deducted from your deposit.
