The Tardis – Huge seating and social area, perfect van for couples

We bought our campervan with money we had saved for our wedding, which was cancelled due to Covid in 2020 and we've never looked back (though happily married now!). We picked up the van and drove straight to Italy, where we lived and remote-worked in the van for six weeks - it was an absolute dream.

Before buying the van we spent a huge amount of time searching for the best interior layout, and we really think we found it!

We call it ‘the tardis’, because it's not a huge motorhome (at 5.99m long and 2.3m wide) but, as you can see from the photos, the dining room table and seating area are huge. You can comfortably sit 4-6 around the table to eat, or eight people for drinks.

The van is absolutely perfect for couples who want a bit of space, but would also work well for a small family with one or two small children as the table lowers and the lounge area converts into a second double bed.

In the evenings, the entire lounge can become a cinema room simply by unrolling the installed projector screen and connecting the provided projector to a laptop.

The main bed is discreetly positioned over the dining area and lowers from the ceiling when ready to use. It's an incredibly comfortable, almost full-sized, double memory foam mattress that we joke about being more comfortable than our own bed.

The kitchen area is well laid out, including a large fridge, three hobs, loads of cupboard space and a small oven and grill. The oven is not particularly good, which means that we tend to cook meals that use the hobs, or have BBQs in the summer! We’ve provided kettle (hob), crockery, cutlery, utensils, cups and wine glasses.

There is a good sized wardrobe and four shelves that give you plenty of room to hang and store clothes and bags.

The bathroom is clean and modern, with a comfortable toilet, shower and extra space for toiletries etc.

Underneath the van is extra storage for outdoor furniture and games and anything else you might want to take with you. We have a small table, four chairs and an array of outdoor games that you are welcome to use.

Heating, hot water and the fridge work on either gas (if ‘wild’ camping) or electricity if you have a hook up at your campsite. Any gas used is included in the price and there is a spare tank in case it happens to run out on your trip.
