The Donny Drifter is a spacious, all‑season motorhome designed for travellers who want comfort, reliability and proper adventure. Equipped with M+S snowflake tyres, a double floor, and a strong 3.0L engine that pulls like a train, it’s built for long runs, mountain roads and year‑round touring - and with the double floor and insulated water tanks is a highly capable winter tourer.
Inside, you’ll find a smart, comfortable L‑shaped dining lounge with captain’s chairs and a panoramic windscreen that makes the cab feel bright and open - lots of lights and sockets. The rear beds can be set up as two singles or one large double, and there’s an additional double over‑cab bed, comfortably sleeping 2. The rear sleeping area can be screened off for privacy, making it ideal for couples, friends or small families. Additionally, the two single rear beds recline to make comfortable day beds.
Storage is one of The Donny Drifter’s biggest strengths: a huge garage, under‑floor compartments, and options for carrying bikes either inside or on the rear rack. There’s room for everything you want to bring.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a 3‑burner hob, internal gas oven, large fridge and separate freezer, plus thoughtful additional touches like a small air fryer and a slow cooker, both of which will comfortably function off-grid using the powerful inverter.
There is a stylish bathroom with lots of additional storage and a separate shower cubicle opposite. Outside, there’s a wind‑out awning with additional easy‑fix enclosure, essentially turning it into an enclosed awning (the enclosure is provided in the spring/summer months only), two reclining gravity chairs, two further fold up camping chairs, a good sized camping table and small outdoor camping stove. There is also the essential outdoor shower outlet, accessible from the garage, for washing down those dirty boots, or muddy paws.
Your rental includes everything needed to get you on the road: bedding, towels, toilet chemicals, loo roll, kitchen accessories, cooking equipment, cutlery, plates, cups, glasses — even a drinks and glasses cupboard. Just bring your clothes, food, loved, a sense of adventure, and respect for my cherished Motorhome.
It is equipped with a WiFi unit and roof mounted antenna to provide better coverage than using your phone signal inside the motorhome (Faraday effect). A basic allowance of 3GB per day is included (for basic Internet access and light streaming), but please bring your own data SIM if you think you’ll use more (or are travelling abroad) and I will enable this on the unit before your departure.
The TV can be connected to your own streaming device (such as a fire stick, Chromecast , etc) so don’t forget to bring this with you as there is no digital TV antenna, it is streaming only - 4G coverage is usually better than TV reception in most remote areas in any case.
The Donny Drifter is fully off‑grid capable for multiple days thanks to a major electrical upgrade (300Ah lithium battery and powerful inverter), giving you freedom to explore without relying purely on campsites.
A few honest notes: like all motorhomes, you’ll hear some rattles while driving; it’s 17 years old so expect minor age‑related wear - but you will see from the photos it has been very well looked after (and we welcome advance viewings); it doesn’t have modern infotainment - so bring your own Motorhome aware satnav app for your phone (many apps do a short-lived free trial such as Sygic GPS which may be sufficient for most trips)
