Flash Gordon – Chausson Flash "Flash Gordon" 646 / North Oxfordshire Based

Hi and thanks for considering renting Gordon - our much loved 2nd mini home - a 2016 Chausson Flash.

We no longer allow to go to Glastonbury following an attempted break in & damage while there.
Other festivals considered.

Officially Gordon travels 6 (4 x 3point seatbelts (driver / passenger front seats, 2 forward facing in living area) & 2 x rear-facing lap-belts, and sleeps 6 (king size bed over cab, 2 x single bunks at the back and the living / table area can be made into a 2nd very small double if required), but to be honest he is much more suited to a max of 4 travellers, allowing the beds to stay made, and a much more relaxed and less cramped motor-homing experience!

Gordon comes with heating, air-con in the cab area, a full size fridge with separate freezer compartment, a small grill, 3 gas hob rings and a sink. His bathroom has a cassette toilet, sink and small shower area, although due to limited capacity to hold hot water (as is the case in all motorhomes), we tend to use campsite facilities where possible!

Gordon comes equipped with a gas bottle, electric hook-up cables, levelling chocks, front black out-blinds, bike rack, cutlery, crockery, utensils and pans. Gordon will be provided with a bottom fitted sheet per bed, unless you request we provide duvets / pillows in advance, in which case they will be charged at an additional £15pp, however feel free to bring your own! Towels are not provided.

If you prefer a larger garage area, the lower bunk can be folded up to give extra space, beneath it, but if you let us know your preferences in advance, we are happy to set Gordon up however suits you best prior to your arrival. Gordon is a European built MH, meaning that the door to the living area opens up on the drivers side.

Gordon is just shy of 7m long which makes him very compact for a 6 berth MH and can be driven on a standard UK license although we ask that the driver be a minimum of 25yrs old. Gordon does not have an inbuilt awning but has plenty of garage space if you would like to bring your own gazebo / bbq / outdoor furniture etc.

Gordon will be provided in a clean condition with a full tank of diesel, a clean, empty toilet cassette and an empty waste water tank - please make sure you return him the same way to avoid incurring additional costs (£100 if the toilet cassette is not empty and clean / £30 if the grey waste tank has not been emptied).

Please note that unless it has been agreed in advance, we will charge £50 per hour or part thereof for a late return but we are happy to be flexible if no-one has hired Gordon to go back out later the same day! If this is the case, we have to have a minimum of 4 hours between rentals in order to ensure Gordon is thoroughly cleaned and prepared. If your late return delays our next guest's departure time, we will forward any applicable monies to them.

Please note :

The security deposit of £1000 must be received at least 24 hrs before the hire is due. This must be provided by credit card, debit card or bank transfer.

The driver (aged between 26-75 with a minimum of 2 years experience) must provide a copy of a full clean driving license along with 2 further proofs of ID with their current address on, matching that on driving license (bank statement, utility bill etc). Hirers are required to provide an access code to the DVLA license check scheme.

There is a zero tolerance policy with regards to smoking. We are a non-smoking family and as we are hiring our 2nd home to you, we would really appreciate it if you absolutely adhere to our no smoking request or risk losing up to £500 of your deposit.

Any damage to the motorhome will result in your deposit not being returned. Once everything is checked, clean and found to be in good working order the deposit may take up to a week to be returned (but usually is much quicker!).

Well behaved pets are welcome on request at an additional charge of £25 / dog. Pls keep dogs off the upholstery and do not leave them unattended in the vehicle at any time.
