Sjezen with Sjef the Family Camper

As far as we are concerned, our 1998 Sjef is the perfect family camper.

Not because it is the newest or most luxurious camper, but because the layout is so good: spacious, bright, and cozy. Whereas the interiors of many modern campers consist of narrow corridors, high cupboards, and small nooks, Sjef feels wonderfully open. Thanks to the many windows, plenty of natural light streams in, and you have a view of the outside from almost every spot. No dark, cramped camper feeling, but a truly pleasant living space.

We use Sjef with two small children, and that is precisely when we notice how much difference the open layout makes. There is plenty of room for four people, but certainly also for five, to sleep very spaciously. During the day, there is ample space to eat together, play, read, or simply sit comfortably inside when the weather isn't cooperating. And because everything has a logical place, you can also travel comfortably for extended periods with a family.

Sjef is fully equipped with everything you need for a wonderful camping holiday. There is a complete kitchen with a 3-burner gas stove, refrigerator, and running water, a private toilet/bathroom area with a shower, and plenty of practical storage space.

You can also set up immediately outside: all camping gear is included, including a nice awning, so you don't have to buy half a camping outfit first or cram it into the car. In principle, you only need to bring your personal belongings, bedding, and groceries, and the holiday can begin.

As far as we are concerned, that makes it ideal for a road trip with children: having breakfast with the doors open in the morning, heading out during the day, and setting up your own little house at the next campsite at the end of the day.

Even without children, that space is of course wonderful. For two people, you simply have an incredible amount of living space.

Sjef is in his late thirties and somewhat old-school :) So don't expect a brand-new rental camper full of touchscreens and electronic gadgets. What you *do* get is a well-maintained, super reliable, and complete camper with character and a particularly nice layout.

Before departure, we take the time to meet you and explain everything. So, you don't need to be an experienced camper. We show you how the facilities work and ensure you set off with peace of mind. We also provide you with a comprehensive manual containing step-by-step instructions on how to use it, so you won't have any questions during your trip. Nice for both you and us ;)

Finally: we only rent out Sjef for a limited number of weeks per year and are primarily looking for people who treat him just as carefully as we do. Hopefully, that speaks for itself!
