Bessie is a charming 2.8 JTD Fiat Ducato alcove campervan, over 6 meters long, with a comfortable interior that's perfect for relaxing. Play a game at the dinette table, read a book in the alcove, or cook in the kitchen—it's all possible in this campervan, without getting in each other's way.
There is room to sit inside for about 6 (up to max 8) people.
Sleeping space is available for approximately 4 people (or approximately 2 adults and 3 children) if the dinette is converted. Without converting the dinette, there is standard sleeping space for 3 people, namely in the alcove and the sofa, which (with the slatted base extended) becomes a single bed.
The alcove at the top is a lovely place to sleep and relax, also perfect during the day for a relaxing read, a movie, or a nap. The alcove is accessible by a ladder and has a low gate to keep small children safe.
The kitchen unit is located at the back and is equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils such as pans, bowls, dishes, oven, coffee maker, kettle, etc.
It has a three-burner gas stove and a refrigerator that runs on both electricity and gas. At high temperatures (around 35 degrees Celsius), the refrigerator might not be able to handle all the power. In that case, it might be helpful to use cold packs you've put in a freezer at a campsite.
Bessie has six seat belts (five three-point belts and one lap belt). There's a toilet with an extractor fan and a small sink in the bathroom.
Bessie has a solar panel (110 W with inverter; 220 V and 12 V sockets available).
The hydraulic suspension and chip tuning make it a comfortable ride. It runs on diesel and consumes about 100 km/h (10 mpg), depending on your speed. I like to drive at 100 km/h, which I find a great cruising speed.
Bessie has a very sturdy, fixed bike rack that fits three bikes, including e-bikes. Including the bike rack, Bessie is approximately 6.6 meters long. The alcove window is currently not openable; a temporary transparent plastic panel is covering it. This will be replaced in due course.
We enjoy sharing our Bessie with other campers so that others can also enjoy fun camper adventures.
If you rent Bessie, I can send you videos (WhatsApp) beforehand explaining various things in and around the camper, so you can be well-prepared for your trip and also check things during the trip if necessary.
A linen package is available upon request for a fee (please let us know in advance). Please be aware of the environmental zones and the necessary vignettes that must be purchased.
Bessie's pick-up and drop-off times aren't fixed, but are negotiated. You can park your car nearby for free, if needed.
We wish you lots of fun with our Bessie...!
