We had a wonderful time touring Northumberland and southern Scotland for 7 nights in Alma. Easy to drive, and and with around 30mpg not too thirsty. Alma was clean and tidy with plenty of equipment. Large comfortable bed, perfectly adequate shower, toilet and stove. You will go through a bit of gas if you're staying off grid in cold periods as we did, but that has to be balanced against the price of campsites these days. There were one or two issues, but Trevor was available straight away on the phone and everything was sorted quickly. Can't fault Trevor or Alma, and we'll be hiring from him again later this year.

Haul

We hired the OG camper and it had all the amenities we needed. Definitely would recommend Gallivant Campers. We spent 5 days travelling round The Scottish Highlands and The Isle of Skye, the unlimited mileage made this possible without being restricted. Very clean, well prepared camper. The price is very reasonable for what you get. We would definitely hire again!

Had the best week with Alevandro exploring the South West. The van is so easy to drive and comfortable and warm for sleeping at night. The simplicity was perfect for our little adventure. Toby and Molly have both been so responsive and helpful all the way through and pick up and drop off was smooth and easy. 10/10 would recommend- thank you guys so much!!

Micheal is a great host , very quick to reply to any questions and was helpful giving a full demonstration on how everything runs in the camper van ( gas ,heating etc). He kindly supplied tea, coffee , cooking utensils and more supplies . Would definitely re book and recommend had a great all round experience for my first time using a campervan.

We have just returned from a fantastic week long trip in Wallace, travelling around the North of Scotland. He was everything we hoped for and more. All the beds were really comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. Gordon and Kelly were very friendly, helpful and made the whole hiring process easy from start to finish. We would highly recommend the Wallace experience to anyone.

From start to finish, this trip was so straight forward. We were greeted by Ross’s dad on collection , who was just so down to earth and lovely. (it’s a big responsibility being in charge of someone else’s property) and he put us at ease straight away. The motor home was immaculate and ideal for what we needed. There were lots of thoughtful additions, such as a phone charger, and quest book. We travelled to the Lake District with a toddler and it was perfect for him. We cannot recommend Ross enough. We will be using again and recommending to family and friends.

We hired Martha for a four night tour of South Wales. Sarah and Chris are charming and extremely helpful, explaining everything we needed to know during the handover. All the equipment you will need is provided, the kitchen area is spacious, the lounge area is very comfortable with the sofas converting into a large double bed. The van was great to drive, with good fuel economy and we liked that it fitted into a regular car park space (see photo). We would definitely hire Martha again, as in our opinion it's the perfect size and layout for two people.

Renting Sunshine from Stella was a brilliant experience from start to finish. The handover was smooth and relaxed, impressively so, given that I managed to turn up at the wrong train station. It was clear straight away that Stella cares deeply about Sunshine, and the van is every bit as good as the photos suggest. On the road, Sunshine was a joy to drive. My first evening took me over the Bealach na Bà to Applecross, one of Scotland's most demanding passes, with its tight hairpins, 20% gradients, and a steep plunge down into the village, and Sunshine handled it without a moment's hesitation. The digital rear-view mirror is a particularly handy touch on a road like that. Come evening, the van is thoughtfully kitted out with everything you need. Storage is generous, and features like the pull-out bed, swivel chair, and pop-top make it easy to get comfortable, even at over six foot, I had plenty of room. Overall, I couldn't recommend Sunshine and Stella highly enough. From the warmth of the handover to the quality of the van itself, everything was taken care of. If you're looking to explore the Scottish Highlands in comfort and style, look no further, this is exactly the kind of trip Sunshine was made for.
