Camping van 'Fort Floris' was built in 2023 based on a 2013 Ford Transit Custom L1/H1.
The rental price is slightly higher than other camper vans, but if you read the description you will understand why :-)
*Smooth, safe and comfortable!*
This sturdy, smooth and luxurious compact bus camper is excellently maintained and equipped with an economical, manual and smooth 175 HP Eco-diesel (EURO 5) with approximately 175,000 km on the odometer. Air conditioning, cruise control, navigation system with Carplay for iPhone and Android, reversing camera, tow bar, sun visor, side steps, tent, awning... In short, everything is included! An additional advantage of this camper is that it fits in any parking space and is easy to take on the road every day. Fort Floris is not only safe but also well secured!
*The interior*
This compact camper van is suitable for three people (both driving and sleeping) and is fully equipped. The sustainable, wooden interior offers a warm and cozy atmosphere. The layout can be adjusted in a few seconds from seats (max. 4) to lounge sofas or to a spacious bed. The lifting roof has a headroom of no less than 1.70 to 2.70 meters. Watch TV? That is also possible. Via WiFi at the camping site or via a 5G connection with your phone. Most apps for streaming services (such as YouTube and Netflix) are already installed.
*Exterior*
Want to sit in the sun? This is of course always possible when the sun is out :-) But relaxing in the shade, under the generous Thule cassette awning of 2.70 meters wide and with a drop-down awning of 2.50 meters, is of course completely pleasant! The camping equipment includes a weatherproof table and three comfortable chairs. And of course those nice solar lights for a cozy atmosphere in the evenings.
The sliding door is equipped with a handy mosquito net. This can be left open during warm summer days and provide the necessary ventilation. And you keep those annoying 'buzzers' out as much as possible.
*Additional tent*
Yes, a flap tent! This super handy, electrically inflatable tent can be set up in a few minutes using the supplied pump. The tent measures 2.50 x 2.50 meters. Under the 1.30 meter awning you also have more than 1.80 meters of headroom. The flap tent offers a lot of space for your belongings. This is also the place for the Porta Potti. You don't have to go to a toilet building at night with a toilet roll under your arm. You can step from your bed through the fully lockable awning section to the tent. This flap tent also offers a spacious sleeping area for a third or fourth person.
*To sleep*
Good sleep starts with a good bed. The bed is no less than 195 cm long and 130 cm wide. The sitting/sleeping mattresses are very comfortable (12 cm thick). This ensures a good night's sleep. The mattresses (cold foam, HR45) have sturdy coverings of durable quality. Tenants receive a mattress topper and a clean, washed molton and fitted sheet. If you go on holiday with three people, the lifting roof offers sleeping space for a child (up to approximately 45 kg). This bed measures 180x115 cm. A camp bed (200x 70 cm) is available for older children and/or adults, which can be placed in the flap tent.
*Completely*
The inventory list is more than complete. We always jokingly say: "Bring your toothbrush, sleeping bag or duvet and clean underwear and you can travel". Everything you need in terms of chairs, tables, pots, pans and other camping supplies is available. Even games for rainy days :-) Even a removable bicycle carrier for the towbar is available.
*To cook*
Are you on the road and do you want to quickly prepare something to eat? Then you can cook indoors on a single-burner Campingaz gas stove. This can easily be replaced by a compact oven, which is also part of the inventory. In the morning you start with a nice warm baked sandwich and in the evening you use the oven to whip up a slice of pizza. You can also connect the coffee maker that is present in the camper to the available 24V connection.
You usually cook outside, that's part of camping! Camping bus Fort Floris is equipped with a luxurious Thetford two-burner gas comfort, which is mounted at the back of the camper in a practical sliding drawer. The gas comfort is connected to a 2.75KG Campingaz bottle (type 907), which is available and/or exchangeable everywhere in Europe.
*Electricity*
All electricity is neatly and safely concealed behind panels and the lighting can be switched separately. The 'power station' is hidden behind the large flap. This controls all electricity; both the 230V shore power and the 12V/24V from the household battery and the solar panels. Of course, there is also a battery monitor that shows exactly how much battery capacity is still available. Handy for when you go 'off-grid'!
*Safe travel*
The design and construction of the 'Fort Floris' camper van was carried out by a professional company that converts a van into a compact camper van. The engineers who work here come from, among others, the aircraft industry, where the safety requirements are very strict.
For example, camper Fort Floris is equipped with:
- airtight sealed gas bottle with passage to wheel arch
- 2-point gas measurement (3Gas+, with alarm) for carbon monoxide, propane, butane and anesthetic gases.
- built-in lockable safe for valuables, laptop, etc
- earth leakage circuit breaker for 230V/10A/30mAh
- automatic switch for 12V/24V
- tracking system (tracking system after e.g. theft)
- camera system (films the road during the journey, not in the camper itself)
- demobilization system (the bus can be switched off and located remotely if it has been stolen)
*Well maintained*
Fort Floris underwent major maintenance in the autumn of 2023. Body, tires, engine and interior are up to date again. The power has increased to no less than 175 HP due to chip tuning. This comes into its own, especially in a mountainous environment.
In short, Fort Floris is ready for another great rental season in 2024!
