Duco (the camper) has been in our possession since last year and we have been on many trips and adventures. As soon as you get into the camper you have a holiday feeling and the adventure can begin.
What does Duco have to offer?
With Duco (the camper) you can enjoy camping with the extra luxury that a tent or caravan does not have. Once you have found a nice spot, you can roll out the awning and in no time you will be enjoying a cold drink in front of you.
The camper comes with 2 chairs, a high chair and a camping table as standard. There is also a large camping carpet, so you can walk outside barefoot.
The camper has a small kitchen with a 3-burner gas stove and kitchen tap. Very nice to quickly boil water or pasta, but we prefer to cook outside and you can use the skotelbraai for this.
All kitchen equipment, pans, plates, cutlery and glasses, etc. are available for 6 people. It even has a small Nespresso machine, so you can enjoy your first fresh cup of coffee early in the morning.
There is also a spacious refrigerator with a freezer compartment, so your drinks stay nice and cool and you can take a small supply with you. The refrigerator runs on electricity and gas. It can run on the battery while driving. So you always arrive with a cold refrigerator.
Large clean water and dirty water tanks are available.
There is also a small bathroom in the camper. It is nice to have a toilet on board and space where you can brush your teeth. The indoor shower cannot be used. But on the outside there is a shower with warm water, where you can rinse yourself or the children.
A big plus is the new air conditioning (since 2022), which keeps the camper nice and cool in the summer and makes it a little more pleasantly warm in the winter. We have had a lot of fun with it both seasons. For this you must be connected to 'shore power'.
There is also a solar panel on the roof. This also allows you to spend a few nights 'off-road' and still charge your phone and use the tap in the evening.
Layout:
The camper has a very practical layout. There are two car seats with belts in the front. The passenger seat can be rotated when the camper is stationary. The seat around the table has 4 belts. It is possible to attach 2 child seats (with belts) here.
The alcove has a spacious double bed and at the back of the camper there is a bunk bed for 2 people. Everything includes fall protection, so that the children or you cannot fall.
In addition, the seat can be converted into a double bed.
We will prepare the mattresses for the alcove bed and the bunk beds for you. You bring your own duvet and pillows and can go to sleep straight away.
The camper also has 1 large standing storage cupboard, 2 storage cupboards under the benches near the seat, and 4 storage cupboards above the seat. All in all, enough space to take your favorite things with you and give them a place.
There is a spacious garage under the bunk bed. There are the chairs, table and skotelbraai and there is still some space for your own belongings.
Additional equipment:
The camper has a bicycle carrier for 3 bicycles. The camper (tunnel) tent can also be taken along. So that you have a little extra space in the evening or in bad weather. An instructional film is online.
The camper is equipped with a strong diesel engine with 128 hp. This allows you to comfortably drive at 100 km/h and cruise quietly through the mountains. The motorcycle has always brought us safely to our destination so far.
