De Bus – Volkswagen T4 (2p) - perfect for your holiday!

Welcome! Great that you are interested in renting our blue Volkswagen Transporter T4. A reliable self-build camper that has been in our possession for two years now. We bought it when we lived in Italy and imported it to the Netherlands last year. Together we have already been to Sicily, Tuscany, the Italian and Swiss Alps and our own Terschelling. And now it's time to share it with you 😄

Our camper is suitable for you if you are looking for a very nice, simple and practical camper. You will not find a toilet or shower, but you will find a solar panel with battery (with USB port and 12v connection) and a water system so you can go off-grid for a few days. Or simply save on the costs of your camping 😉.

You will receive it as we use it. This means including bed linen (possibly also a warm sleeping bag), towels and tea towels, gas stove and gas bottle, quiet and spacious cool box (12v and 230v), kitchen utensils, table and chairs. It has a lifting roof so you can stand and ventilate, and inside you can also create a seat with a table and rotating passenger seat. Naturally, you prefer to be outside, where you can sit in the shade and dry with the help of the tarp. There is more than enough space under the bed to take things with you, if you want we have crates available. There is also storage space near the bed and in the kitchen. There is also a bicycle carrier on the back suitable for 2 bicycles.

A few things to take into account:
🌆 you are often not allowed to enter cities with an environmental zone as it is an older diesel (EURO 3)
💨 There is no air conditioning on the bus, so we often try not to drive in the middle of the day in the summer
🌝 we have good sunshades for the windows and light-tight curtains, so it gets nice and dark at night
🚲 The bicycle carrier is suitable for two racing bikes, MTBs or city bikes, but not for electric bicycles
🚐 The bus drives great, but of course it doesn't accelerate very quickly. We also try not to drive faster than 110 km/h, so that fuel consumption is not too high (approx. 1 in 14). The tank holds 80 liters, so you don't have to stop at the gas station often!

✅ the insurance is arranged via GoBoony, which is pleasant for both parties!
❄️ There are good summer tires on them, which go well above zero, but are not so suitable when it is colder or when you expect snow. It also gets cold inside (no heating).
