This year, Rocki was born as a camper van. With his brand-new and fancy interior, he is completely ready for adventure.
We had a wonderful time traveling with it this summer. We slept in the heart of the Ardennes, among the vineyards in the Italian Dolomites, and in the center of Verona. So we can say with certainty that it is a very flexible, comfortable camper and fully equipped!
It is a nice, high-quality finished campervan that is completely self-sufficient. Perfect for wild camping, but thanks to its compact size, it also fits in any city parking space. The van itself drives very well, with cruise control, a new audio system with Bluetooth and navigation, air conditioning (in the cabin only), and electric windows. It is fuel-efficient for a camper (1:13).
Inside, you will find a fully equipped luxury kitchen with a refrigerator (65L) including a freezer compartment, a 2-burner gas stove, and a sink with running (cold) water. A complete set of crockery can be found in the cupboards. Pots and pans and facilities for making coffee are also provided. There are always some spices, coffee, and tea available in the van. There is also a portable gas stove in the garage so you can easily cook outside using gas. For example, for the whistling kettle to make a nice cup of coffee in the fresh air in the morning :).
A handy fold-out table is integrated into the seating area. Because you can sit opposite each other, you can enjoy playing games. With the large sliding doors and many windows, you feel like you are sitting outside. The dimmable lighting allows you to create the right atmosphere at any time and ensures you have sufficient light at night.
A long and comfortable cozy bed (small double size) was very important to us. That is why the bed is a pull-out length bed with a real mattress and slatted base. Are you ready to go to sleep? Then you slide the bed out over the seating area in a few seconds.
The bus is fully insulated, keeping out heat, cold, and noise. The blackout curtains ensure a good night's sleep, even if you happen to be parked under a streetlight. Thanks to the combination of a very quiet fan and a skylight with a mosquito net, you can sleep safely and mosquito-free with all other windows closed, while still having sufficient cooling airflow. There are USB connections as well as 220V sockets when connected to shore power. There is a fold-out toilet in the bus, equipped with a bag that you can easily tie shut and dispose of. We were skeptical at first too, but it works perfectly fine, even during hot days. Furthermore, the bus has an awning, and in the storage compartment, there are two comfortable camping chairs and a camping table.
The battery pack is charged using solar panels. And soon, also while driving. The battery is large enough to keep the fridge cold for a few days, run the fan, and charge your phone on cloudy days.
The water tank ensures you have enough water to stay off-grid for a few days.
There is plenty of storage space in the van. In the kitchen, in the compartment above the seats and in the cupboard opposite the kitchen unit, under the benches, but also in the garage, there is still sufficient storage space to store some items.
The bus has no parking heater or winter tires, so it is not suitable for traveling in winter weather.
