We would like to rent out our camper to others. This is because letting it sit idle is a shame, and we would love to see it used.
It has been completely rebuilt over the past six months and has also undergone major maintenance on the vehicle itself.
Such as new torque converter. Automatic transmission oil changed. Aligned. Major service.
This reliable 2.2L Sprinter takes you anywhere without any problems, and you can stay off-grid for days thanks to the enormous power station and 300-watt solar panels!
We have already camped with it a bit recently and the children love it.
This summer we are going away with it for 5 weeks and actually want to go completely off the grid, so no campsites, but staying overnight in beautiful places along brooks, rivers, mountain peaks, cities, and you name it.
You have 70 liters of clean water with you.
A large toilet that can be pushed forward to create plenty of seating space and that the five of us can use for a weekend. The youngest is just potty trained, so she uses it the most often ;)
You can cook with induction indoors and outdoors; the hob is removable and the outdoor socket is positioned so that you can cook there as well. So windy or not, cooking is done in no time thanks to induction.
A cup of coffee with the induction espresso maker and the 230V kettle ensure that you have a delicious cup of tea or coffee within 5 minutes.
You can also make delicious warm rolls in the small oven, and the 50-liter fridge with freezer provides plenty of cooling space.
The kitchen is full of storage space, and the large drawers ensure that everything is easily accessible.
The storage space in the upper cabinets is nice and spacious, and the garage under the bed, which is accessible from both inside and outside, provides enormous storage possibilities.
The train-style seating is set up with three seats currently in place. A fourth seat could potentially be added, but there is no sleeping space for it; an extra tent would be needed for that. However, this does allow for travel with six people, as we do have an extra seat that can simply be clicked into place.
It used to be a taxi bus, so there is a rail in the floor where you can simply click a seat into place at any spot.
The passenger seat is swivelable and foldable. So when you go camping, you swivel it away with the seat upright to create plenty of living space. And when you go driving, you swivel it back and you can sit comfortably in the front together and chat.
The sleeping areas are made of hammocks; young children can sleep wonderfully in them, but as they get a bit bigger, they no longer fit. There are nets in front so that they cannot fall out.
All beds are foldable, and the front bed is even removable, so for a family of four, there is even more living space by removing it completely.
The dimensions of the bed are:
2 of 140x60 (on the side)
1 of 125x60 (at the front)
Our 8-year-old daughter still fits in it well, but I don't think it will work when she's 10. Then she would either have to sleep on the train seat when the table is down or in a small tent outside. I haven't made this yet, but it is easy to realize when the time comes.
