Californiacation – 4p Volkswagen campervan from 2025

Our California has a 2.0l petrol engine automatic (204 hp), in other words: performance, comfort and reliability.
In addition to the regular starter battery, the California Ocean has two additional camper batteries on board. These are used to provide sufficient power for the parking heater, refrigerator, inverter, and rear power outlets, among other things.
The 30-litre drinking water tank is now five litres larger than the previous version.
There are certainly plenty of USB chargers and power outlets on board, even in the pop-up roof and the galley area. The fold-out outdoor table also has a 230V outlet with shore power for a second cooking plate.

The new California Ocean has two sliding doors, one side with a canopy.
The iconic roof bed opens automatically and features spring-loaded springs for optimal sleeping comfort. Measuring 114x200cm, the roof bed offers panoramic views through the front opening and generous side windows. The lower mattress measures 106x200cm and offers the option of sleeping upstairs or downstairs (or both if traveling with more than two people).
The California seats four and sleeps four. Both front seats swivel 180°, are height-adjustable, and equipped with lumbar and armrests. The two easy-to-remove or slide individual seats in the passenger compartment quickly and easily create more space.
A folding tow bar is also available for those who wish to bring their own bicycle rack.

The on-board computer has Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, its own navigation system, infotainment system and DAB+ radio.

The newly designed summer kitchen has a gas hob, sink with matt black tap and a refrigerator that is accessible from both inside and outside with the sliding door open.
Downstairs, the camper offers an additional sleeping place of 106x200 cm.
There are plenty of cupboards and storage spaces spread throughout the interior of the campervan, so you can take everything you need with you.
