Pluk – Self-built off-grid 2-person Peugeot campervan from 2014

The name Pluk comes from "Pluk de dag" (Seize the day). With our van, we land in the present moment. We travel as a family of three, because three people are allowed to sit in the front. Our ten-year-old daughter sleeps in a small tent next to the camper. She thinks that is absolutely fantastic. What she likes best about Pluk is that the three of you sit next to each other (buckled in). With an audiobook or our "On the Road" playlist on. What we like best is the freedom. We use the NKC Campercontact app, and then it becomes a game to find a nice free spot. And then you have a surprise every time. Usually a pleasant one, luckily 😁.

Our Pluk is equipped with a Maxxifan, which makes for a very comfortable and mosquito-free sleep. Additionally, we have a small tent for storing gear and an optional XL Event Shelter (4.5 x 4.5 m) to sit under. We will use the proceeds we hope to receive to further improve our camper.

- Pluk has a thick coat, making him well insulated.
- He has a three-part hotel-quality mattress. We chose this because Peter has a bad back. The cover is insulating, antibacterial, resistant to moisture, and completely stain-free. The sections fit together very well, and two adults can lie comfortably on it. The mattress is a total of 2 meters long and 1.20 meters wide. However, because the sofa is at the same height, you have more room to lie down. We find it comfortable, and Peter does not experience any back pain when sleeping on this mattress.

Pluk offers three ways to obtain energy in addition to the diesel it runs on: the battery charges while driving, the solar panels also charge, and it can also be powered via shore power. Inside, 12 and 230-volt connections are available via wall sockets and four USB-A ports. This is connected to a 200 Ah battery. Using only solar energy and a charged battery, you can last at least two days with normal energy consumption. In principle, you could go completely energy-neutral if you don't use heavy appliances. But we haven't tried that yet. We really like having a fridge :-)

Optionally, you can also get an extra 310 Ah battery from us. We personally find this very convenient, as it offers a bit of extra luxury when using electricity. You can charge this while driving or via shore power. Furthermore, we also have a chemical toilet available in our options package. You will need to purchase fluids yourself. Bedding, towels, and the Norauto refrigerator (40 liters, cools to a maximum of 18 degrees below the outside temperature) can also be included for a small additional fee. Early pick-ups and late check-outs are also negotiable. After all, departing from and arriving at a trip is complicated enough as it is, and we believe the holiday starts at the front door.
