On the road again....
Hello camper enthusiasts,
We are Peter and Diana and we recently acquired a very spacious and cozy camper again. We offer these for rent so that others can enjoy them and make wonderful memories just like us.
16 years ago we bought our first camper and together with our four children, who were still small at the time, we went out as much as possible. In the following years we traveled through Scandinavia, the Baltic states, Poland, Southern Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy), Austria and Switzerland, the Balkans, Great Britain and in the winter to Morocco. Because we liked the 'freedom = happiness' of a camper so much, the first camper was exchanged for a younger one after a few years.
But when our children grew older and we had visited almost all countries in Europe, the need arose to discover other cultures outside Europe. With pain in our hearts we said goodbye to our camper, but not to the many wonderful and precious memories of it. But it's just a shame to keep a camper if you hardly use it. Yet we already knew for sure that there would come a time again....
We were used (and spoiled!) to make a tour through one or more countries with the camper, in order to get a good impression of a country. So when we started traveling outside Europe in 2016, we decided to keep moving around. We went backpacking (with and without our teenagers/young adults) (trains and public transport) or rented a car at the airport with which we traveled around or on a motorcycle through, for example, Sapa (Vietnam). Due to the accessible contacts, we liked to stay in hostels, sometimes an apartment or cheap hotel, but we preferred to stay in a Casa or B&B. You simply have the purest encounters/contacts and most beautiful conversations with people in their own home. We traveled through Thailand, Cuba, Israel, India, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, China, Vietnam, Jordan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Japan, Gambia and Senegal. And we also visited some countries within Europe that were more difficult to reach with a camper, such as Iceland, Malta and Cyprus.
We have now reached the point where our children no longer really travel with us, or at most do not want to go out with us for a few days. That's okay, because there is a time for everything...
We are now going out together again and fortunately our camper offers enough space and privacy to regularly bring friends/guests with us.
Carpe Diem (Seize the day) is our motto and we completely agree with the statement: “Travel is the only thing that costs you money and yet makes you richer”. And fortunately we still realize every day that we are RICH. Not in material or money, but in (travel) experiences and memories. We like to have a good time, but we certainly don't need extreme luxury to feel good somewhere, on the contrary. And that is also reflected in our camper, everything we do to make life as easy as possible, but nothing excessive. The camper is no longer the youngest, but that is a conscious choice so that we can also drive through less touristy and less well-endowed countries without too much ostentation (and shame).
After purchase, the camper (April 2024) received completely new upholstery (curtains and cushions, etc.) and we have done everything we can to make it cozy and practical.
We are ready, in other words.... On the road again....
New adventures await us... and we will make beautiful memories again!
