We had a fantastic experience hiring Gemma’s VW camper (Bertha) for our NC500 road trip. The camper was brilliant and performed really well throughout the trip. We covered everything with winding roads of the NC500 to some much muddier and less forgiving conditions, and the camper/tyres gave us loads of confidence when things got a little more challenging. It’s also a really agile van, which made navigating the narrower roads and tighter sections of the route much easier. What we particularly loved was that it gave us the best of both worlds, all the practicality and freedom of a campervan, but with the driving experience and confidence of something that feels much more like a car than a van. That made a huge difference on some of the more challenging roads. Gemma was also absolutely lovely to deal with, friendly, helpful and really easy going, which made the whole experience straightforward from start to finish. We’d definitely hire from Gemma again and would happily recommend her camper to anyone looking to explore Scotland. It was the perfect vehicle for our NC500 adventure!

The van is great . We are a family of 5 and had no issue to sleep , cook and in general be in and out the van . There is what you need in it and more . Robert is a very nice guy and very useful !

Few hiccups with the van to start with - our first night we found the fridge and hot water wasn't working and we were off grid and planning to stay that way for our trip. We returned the van to Len the next morning (luckily not having gone too far) and he was able to fix the water issue but not the fridge unfortunately. Len kindly reimbursed us for our lost perishables and for buying non fridge replacements, and gave us a couple of extra hours on our return time to make up for time lost. Van was easy to drive and comfy - had everything we required. Any food or other consumables available are simply those left behind by other renters so just to take everything you need as can't guarantee what might be available. I would say water and toilet capacity is sufficient for four nights off grid but probably not more. As we stayed off grid we stopped at Findhorn Caravan Park on morning of return - you can empty grey water and toilet cassette, refill water and hook up to electric for hoovering for just £10 and only 25 mins from drop off point. Despite the initial false start (and the only reason we are not giving 5 stars) we had a great time in the van and would definitely hire from Len again.

I've not hired a camper before and found the experience really easy. We were let down at the last minute and we booked the van the night before we went. Elizabeth was really flexible with pick up times and was very responsive to messages/queries. She gave us a really clear run-through of the van and we felt confident driving away. Great overall experience 👌

We had an amazing time travelling around in the campervan. The van was well equipped and enjoyable to drive. Deirdre and Sam are great hosts—they are really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend renting Luna for both short and long trips around Scotland.

Met Jarron and had a handover of the motorhome. It took a little of getting used to the actual size of the motorhome, but when I did it handled surprisingly well. We hired it for a week and had an excellent time. The motorhome did everything we want it to do. The bed was comfortable and the motorhome was clean. Really had a good time. Jarron was excellent.

We had such a great time in the Lake District with Binky! I cannot emphasize enough how helpful and kind Chris was, it was easy to get to the pickup, he explained everything we needed to know about the van, and at the drop off made it easy to get to or train. The van itself is very easy to drive and very well equipped. For us it was the perfect size as well, not too overwhelming to drive, but enough space to do all the essentials. Would recommend this van to anyone!

Easy handover with Andy. Very friendly and explained everything about the van! It was our first Campervan trip with the baby and couldn’t have gone any smoother. Van has everything you need and isofix for the little ones! We will deffo be back

Wow where do we start with this review. First of all the morphine was everything we needed a s more , everything you could think of had been provided, towels, bedding , dog leads, dog poo bags, wash tabs, washing up liquid, sponges you name it and it was there. We hired this motorhome to do the NC500 and found it to be the perfect length , there was two adults a 12 year old and two dogs and I can honestly say it never felt cramped. Now for me is the most important bits and that’s the hosts who was incredible, so warm and welcoming , extremely helpful, they let us put our dogs in theirs back garden whilst we swapped everything over from car to motorhome and was just the nicest people you could ever meet, highly recommended

we had an amazing stay with laura's van. communication with laura was really easy and friendly - she sent us really thorough guides on how to set up the van and use its features which we found really helpful. the van is quite spacious and 3 of us comfortably slept in it. it's also the perfect size for some of the smaller roads around scotland, would definitely recommend booking!

This was an excellent experience throughout! Colin's campervan was immaculate, really well equipped, really comfortable and was faultless throughout our 8 day trip away on the Scottish west coast and Islands. Colin was really helpful, & carefully talked us through the van and all the facilities on collection. It's clearly an exceptionally well cared for (family) van, and the handovers (collect & return) were really straightforward, no issues. The van included a battery-inflated/fold away mattress which was super comfortable, an excellent bonus! We had a really great holiday break, and the van totally and comfortably delivered a cool 'van-life' experience! Many thanks to Colin and family. Really highly recommended.
