You’re never too far from a C&C site, and this Camping and Caravanning Club Site in Skye does not disappoint! The facilities are renowned for their cleanliness, and the staff will ensure that your stay meets all expectations. The level pitches are built on a well-draining service to accommodate any unfortunate weather and ensure you avoid a flooded campervan!
Located near Edinbane, this is one of the northern campervan sites on the Isle of Skye. A short walk from the water, you’ll be able to explore this gorgeous area on foot. We recommend stopping by Edinbane Pottery, a family-run artisan pottery right in the middle of Edinbane. Not only will you find the best souvenirs and crockery here, but they’ll happily explain the entire process to you!
This site is very popular, particularly with returning guests, so we recommend booking ahead! It is definitely not one to drop by unannounced.

For getting off the grid
Life can be so hectic and overwhelming, so a motorhome holiday is a perfect opportunity to escape and reconnect with yourself or your travelling companions. Whilst it can be lovely to stay at a site with good WIFI, it can also make it harder to avoid technology and stay in the moment. For those of you looking for a holiday for the mind as well as a motorhome, we recommend Glenbrittle Campsite. This is one of the few Isle of Skye motorhome sites that doesn’t offer any reception. The lack of mobile signal is due to its location at the end of a single-track road. But don’t see this as an inconvenience but rather a challenge to get off the grid, and with this fantastic scenery and plenty of activities, who needs a phone?
This site offers over 30 electric hook-up pitches for motorhomes which are spaciously situated for privacy and tranquillity. There is a shop/cafe/reception area that provides a unique blend of hand-roasted coffee, the perfect start to a day of exploring the Isle of Skye! This delicious coffee is best accompanied by fresh bread and pastries to order.
Who doesn’t love the idea of losing themselves in nature… with a clean sanitary block to make it all the easier? Whilst here, we recommend going on a Loch Dunvegan seal boat or a loch cruise!

Gorgeous scenery, with lush grass beneath your feet, but the true highlight of this campsite is that it is only 1.2 miles from Portree, the largest town and capital of the Isle of Skye. It is known as the cultural hub of Skye and is an excellent base for exploring the rest of the island, which is never more than a day trip away! Whilst here, be sure to stop by the renowned Aros Centre, which regularly runs theatre performances, concerts and film screenings.

For your first night on Skye

The perfect starting point for your excursions throughout Skye, Sligachan Campsite is ideally located beside the A87. But you’ll quickly forget the proximity to the main road once you drive to the site and witness the incredible views. Sheltered by mountains, you’ll get to enjoy your morning coffee with a gorgeous view. The site offers basic sanitary facilities, but you shouldn’t need more than a good hot shower when travelling by campervan. There is a pub just across the road, so a cold pint is never too far away! You can expect a genuine Scottish welcome and plenty of advice on the local area. Many who have visited several Isle of Skye motorhome sites claim that these prices are fair for the incredible view and calm campsite. You can also pay on-site.
