GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE – CAMPING LE TARANIS
Article 1 – Scope of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all bookings and sales of stays made through the website www.camping-taranis.fr. They form an integral part of any contract concluded between the campsite and its customers.
Each customer acknowledges having read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions prior to making any booking, both for themselves and for all persons participating in the stay.
In accordance with applicable law, these General Terms and Conditions are made available to all customers for information purposes prior to the conclusion of any contract for the sale of a stay. They may also be obtained upon simple written request sent to the establishment's registered office.
Article 2 – Booking Conditions
2.1 Prices and Payment
The prices of stays are stated in euros, including VAT. Please note that the tourist tax is not included in the price.
For camping pitch bookings: Each booking is made in the name of the person making the reservation and may not be transferred to another person. The booking only becomes effective once it has been accepted by us and after receipt of the full amount of the stay and the booking fees.
For accommodation bookings: Each booking is made in the name of the person making the reservation and may not be transferred to another person. The booking only becomes effective once it has been accepted by us and after receipt of the full amount of the stay and the booking fees.
In the event of a late arrival that has not been notified to the campsite, the accommodation/pitch will become available 24 hours after the arrival date stated on the booking confirmation. After this period, and in the absence of written notification, the booking will be considered cancelled and the deposit will be retained by the campsite management.
2.2 Modification of a Booking
No reduction or refund will be granted in the event of a delayed arrival or early departure.
2.3 Cancellation
In the event that the Customer cancels the booking after it has been accepted by the Service Provider:
Cancellation more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date:
The deposit paid at the time of booking will automatically be retained by the Service Provider as compensation and will not be refunded.
If the remaining balance of the stay has already been paid by the Customer, it will be refunded in full.
Cancellation less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date:
The deposit paid at the time of booking will automatically be retained by the Service Provider as compensation and will not be refunded.
If the remaining balance of the stay has already been paid by the Customer, it will also be retained by the Service Provider and will not be refunded.
In all cases of cancellation, processing and administration fees will remain payable to the Service Provider and will not be refunded.
2.4 Right of Withdrawal
The legal provisions relating to the right of withdrawal applicable to distance selling under the French Consumer Code do not apply to tourist services (Article L.121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code).
Consequently, for any booking of a stay at the campsite, the Customer does not have a right of withdrawal.
2.5 Cancellation Insurance
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. This insurance provides cancellation cover and may allow you to obtain reimbursement of amounts paid in the event of cancellation of your stay or early departure, subject to the conditions specified in the insurance contract (illness, accident, etc.).
Insurance rates:
Camping pitch: 4% of the total amount of the stay
Mobile home rental: 4% of the total amount of the stay
2.6 Group Bookings and Family or Friends' Gatherings
In order to preserve the family-friendly, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere of Camping Le Taranis, family or friends' gatherings are not permitted during the months of July and August.
During this period, the campsite does not accept bookings involving more than two pitches or rental accommodations, whether this involves several camping pitches, several rental accommodations, or a combination of pitches and rental accommodations, booked by the same family or by the same group of people wishing to stay together.
Any booking falling within these criteria must receive the campsite management's prior written approval. In the absence of such prior approval, Camping Le Taranis reserves the right to refuse or cancel the booking concerned.
This provision also applies where bookings are made separately but concern the same identifiable family or group of friends.
Article 3 – Conduct of the Stay
3.1 Arrivals and Departures
For both rental accommodations and camping pitches, arrivals are from 3:00 p.m. onwards.
Departures must take place before 10:00 a.m. for rental accommodations, on Saturdays or Sundays, and on any day of the week for nature pitches.
3.2 Security Deposit
A security deposit of €300 per accommodation will be requested on the day of arrival.
The deposit will be refunded on the day of departure, during reception opening hours, following an inspection of the accommodation.
Any charges resulting from damage will be added to the cost of the stay, as well as cleaning charges if the accommodation is not left in a perfectly clean condition.
If the Customer is unable to be present for the inspection, the security deposit will be returned by post.
3.3 Departure
Any return of keys or release of the accommodation after 10:00 a.m. will result in the charge of an additional night's stay. For camping pitches, the pitch must be vacated by 12:00 noon.
Any extension of the stay must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure date.
3.4 Pets
Pets are permitted in rental accommodations subject to an additional fee and compliance with applicable hygiene and health requirements.
3.5 Campsite Rules and Regulations
As required by law, all customers must comply with the campsite's internal rules and regulations. These rules have been filed with the relevant authorities, are displayed at the campsite reception and a copy may be provided upon request.
Article 4 – Liability
The Campsite shall not be held liable for any damage to the equipment or belongings of campers or caravan users resulting from their own actions or negligence.
Customers are required to have appropriate civil liability insurance covering their camping equipment and belongings (FFCC, ANWB, ADAC, etc.).
Article 5 – Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Any dispute relating to their interpretation or application shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Tribunal de grande instance or Commercial Court of --------, subject to the applicable rules of jurisdiction.
DISPUTES – CONSUMER MEDIATION
In the event of a dispute between the Customer and the company, both parties shall endeavour to resolve the matter amicably. The Customer should first submit a written complaint to the professional or, where applicable, to the company's Customer Relations Department.
If no amicable agreement can be reached, or if the professional fails to respond within a reasonable period of one (1) month, the consumer Customer, within the meaning of Article L.133-4 of the French Consumer Code, may, if the dispute remains unresolved, refer the matter free of charge to the relevant consumer mediator listed by the Commission for the Evaluation and Control of Consumer Mediation, in accordance with Article L.615-1 of the French Consumer Code, namely:
