Camping Le Champ Neuf is FANTASTIC

Liked: The people who work at Champ Neuf are so helpful. They allowed us to park our caravan the night before our stay and would not take any money for that !! Mr Riquet was very helpful in putting our caravan on the plot and helped our friends when they arrived with a tent and provided a fridge. Could be better: Deux choses : 1/ Ayant peur du feu (dans des mobile homes en bois, c’est encore plus dangereux), je n’ai quasiment pas utilisé mes taques de cuisson qui était au gaz avec allumettes ou briquet. Je l’ai signalé à et on m’a dit à 2 reprises qu’un technicien allait venir. J’ai attendu. Au dernier jour, on m’a dit qu’on ne savait de toute façon rien faire car les taques de ce mobile home ne fonctionne qu’avec des allumettes. Ah… j’aurai aimé le savoir dès la première fois que je l’ai signalé au début du séjour! 2/ nous avons été accueillis par une réceptionniste pas très accueillante !

Baie de Somme

Liked: Well located site on the Euro Velo 4 (Velomaritime) with access to excellent cycling, both off road and circuits on quiet roads around the Baie de Somme area. 15 minutes by bike to Parc du Marquenterre. 30 minutes to Le Crotoy with access to Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme. Magnificent birds and other wildlife in fascinating wetland area. Good sized pitch with hedges. Good food at Restaurant.

Could be better: Site was completely full during our visit in high season. As a result, Sanitary blocks were overrun. Just one sanitary block in the vicinity of the majority of touring pitches. There were two other blocks, side by side further up the site and frequently needed to walk to those as there were queues for the toilets at our nearest block. Floor of washing up area was frequently awash with water, not sure why. Are the sink drains leaking? Grey cloths left at entrance to Sanitary blocks unsightly. Could another solution be found? Soap dishes in showers would be nice.

Liked: Surrounding area was fantastic, Parc Du Marquenterre was wonderful, highly recommend. The campsite pitches were a good size, with hedges all around, giving us privacy. Good laundry facilities. Toilet block clean. Staff friendly. Lovely pastries in the morning.

Could be better: Showers tended to spray everywhere, so it was difficult to keep things dry. They were not that warm either, shame they were unisex as well.

Enjoyable stay with grand children

Liked: Stayed in camping car with teenage grand children. Children enjoyed the pool complex and the sports field. Food in Restaurant was good and a good choice of pastries in the morning. Site close to bird sanctuary and sea and just over an hour’s drive from Calais.

Could be better: Some of the sanitary block was closed during our stay which meant queuing for showers which was unsatisfactory. The floor of the lazy river needs some attention as the membrane has stretched and rucked up in many areas. There is no where in the pool to have a swim without being bombed by children. Water in washing up area was cold.

Booking conditions

GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS

Your reservation is valid upon receipt of a deposit of 30% of your stay. Each reservation is confirmed in writing by Le Champ Neuf.

The amount of the stay will be paid in full 15 days before arrival at the campsite.

In the event of early departure, the entire stay is due based on the dates of stay defined when booking.

In the event of cancellation, the deposit remains with Le Champ Neuf. If the cancellation is within 4 weeks before arrival, the stay is due in full.

In the event of delayed arrival, if you have not notified us, the campsite will have the pitch or rental available within 12 hours. The stay will be billed in full.

Each customer undertakes to respect this contract and the internal regulations of the campsite.

Each customer must have civil liability insurance.

Dogs (except 1st category) are accepted with a vaccination record and must be kept on a leash.

For pitches, arrival is from 2:30 p.m. and departure is at 11 a.m.

Parking limited to 1 vehicle per location.

For rentals, arrival is from 4 p.m. and departure is at 10 a.m.

Provide a deposit of 200 euros and a deposit of 80 € (for final cleaning) deposited on arrival.

A deposit of €90 is required for the mobile home for 8 people (final cleaning).

For the rental of the house and the gîtes, provide a deposit of 350 euros and a deposit of 90 € (for the final cleaning of the 4-person gîte), 110 € (for the final cleaning of the 6-person gîtes) 130 (for final cleaning of the house for 8 people) and €150 for the house for 10 people, deposited on arrival.

If the rental is left clean without material damage, the deposits will be destroyed within 8 days after your departure.

Otherwise, theft or damage, the deposit will be reduced by the amount of the damage noted. If cleaning is not carried out, the deposit for the final cleaning will be retained.

Parking limited to 1 vehicle per location.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Le Champ Neuf is open from April 1st, 2025 to November 2, 2025.

The reception desk is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The swimming pool is open from April 5, 2025 to November 2, 2025.

The grocery store is open from April 1st, 2024 to November 2, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Bread can be dropped off at the grocery store from April 2nd, 2025 to November 2, 2025.
