Liked: Good location. Good for dog walking along the beach to the town. Staff friendly.

Could be better: The bathrooms need a refurb. Only one usable toilet in the ladies and doesn't flush properly. Mop and buckets are needed for the showers. The pool is for young children, I didn't realise this when I booked.

Could be better: Refurbishment of sanitary buildings are important and urgent Make sure there are small hooks available in the toilet and shower rooms Paper towels should be available at the toilets Have drinkable water taps available everywhere Possibly build a swimmingpool for adults (with flexibility indoor and outdoor in summer)

Liked: We liked just about everything about the place, the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were the best we have used for a long time, the facilities were spot on and the pitch was great. A job well done by all concerned, well done. Getting an unexpected discount was a bonus.

Could be better: Cut the trees a lot earlier to stop the leaves falling and let the sunshine in. Sites in both Javea and Benicassim had them done by mid October.

Liked: The pitch we were allocated was karge with plenty of room for a wind-out awning. Metered EHU with an included allowance was fine. Good bar and restaurant. First drink on the house. Easy access to the beach.

About this campsite

Camping Alegria del Mar is owned and managed by a British-Spanish family, open since 1986. On site there is always a great ambiance with a personal touch, ideal to chill out or participate in our organized activities like dances, live music, flamenco shows, barbecue nights, petanca, children's activities etc... The beach is just 50m away with direct access. Perfect for a long or short stay.

About the area

The town Benicarlo is in walking distance (aprox 1.5Km) there is a port, marina, shops, supermarkets and the town is busy all year round. Peñiscola is 6km south (very popular for the Spanish holiday makers because of it´s historic past) and Vinaroz is 6 km North.

Booking conditions

We remind you of our terms and conditions on touring pitches:

- The outstanding amount will be paid when you check-out.
- Animals are permitted but have to be on a lead.
- The check-out time will be before 12:00hrs in high season. In any other season please ask in reception.
- Money is not refundable
- All visitors must pass in to reception before entering the site.
- If you don't arrive on your check-in date please contact the camping 00 34 964 47 08 71. If not we will hold your pitch for 1 night after this time you will lose your booking.
- When you leave the camping please make sure that the pitch is left in good condition.
- All customers have to obey the Spanish camping regulations which are shown on the notice board at reception.

CANCELATION POLICY

High season:
If the cancelation is 45 days or more than your arrival date you will be refunded with 100% of your deposit.*
If the cancelation is 30 days or more than your arrival date you will be refunded with 50% of your deposit.*
If the cancelation is 29 days or less you will not be refunded.*

Mid and Low season
If the cancelation is 30 days or more than your arrival date you will be refunded with 100% of your deposit.*
If the cancelation is 15 days or more than your arrival date you will be refunded with 50% of your deposit.*
If the cancelation is 15 days or less you will not be refunded.*

* To make a cancelation you will be charged 15€ and you must send your original booking confirmation with written cancelation by e-mail.
