Lovely oasis
Liked: Friendly and helpful management who ran a very efficient campsite. Facilities were excellent and clean. Lovely pool. Bar and stall welcoming and cheerful Delicious pizza available.

5 night at Bella Vista Camping
Liked: We were supposed to stay for one night only and the bad weather pushed us to stay longer, which we are very satisfied with. The campsite is very well maintained, the showers and toilets are clean and washed several times a day. The pool is also very good and well maintained, the water is very clean. The staff is mostly Dutch, but speaks English and a bit French for one of the people on the team. The welcome is warm, nothing to complain about, we will surely come back if we have to return in the region.😊
Could be better: Everything was very good, the only point that could possibly be improved would be to change a bit my kitchen map...

Great camping but not for us
Liked: De campground is schoon, faciliteiten super schoon, activiteiten voor jonge kinderen. Staff is behulpzaam en vriendeljjk. Maar tenten en huisjes staan dicht op elkaar. Als je voor rust komt, dan is dit niet de camping. En let op: er is een hangplek voor kinderen (trampoline), vraag hierna! Een super camping voor families met kleine kinderen, niet geschikt voor gezinnen met tieners.
Could be better: Klanten op de hoogte brengen van de hangplek van kinderen, zodat men keuze heeft om daar dichtbij te gaan staan/ verblijven of niet. Geef klant een keuze.

Liked: A really nice campsite, which is kept really tidy. Good facilities, swimming pool and reception. We liked that there is a separate car park that you can use which gives you more space on the pitch and reduces the amount of other cars on the site.
Could be better: Better ventilation in the toilet blocks, we were there when very hot and they were too steamy.

If you want to have a wonderful holiday in a beautiful country with a great climate, a delicious cuisine and friendly people, you do not have to look any further. Your next destination is Camping Bella Vista on the Italian riviera. On Camping Bella Vista we speak your language. It is a paradise for your children, quietly situated in a floral- and agricultural area some 1500 meters from the blue Mediterranean. If you don't have a tent or a caravan, no problem! There is a possibility to rent a chalet or bungalow with all the necessary conveniences.

At Borghetto S. Spirito you'll have to leave the motorway and follow the signs for Ceriale. When entering the village of Ceriale (on the SS1 along the coast, also known as the via Aurelia) you pass a traffic light for pedestrians and drive straight on at the roundabout near the Total petrol station. At the next roundabout, a few hundred meters further, you turn right in the direction of Castelbianco and Peagna. This road is named the via Romana. You stay on this road for 1700 meters until you come to a crossing with traffic lights. (See map below) Here you turn right and follow the Camping Bella Vista signs for another 900 meters. (with navigation please enter GPS codes otherwise the following address, city; Ceriale, street; Via Campore (no number).
The Italian Rivièra stretches from Ventimiglia near the French border to Viareggio near Pisa. The Riviéra is the coastline of the Ligurian province and a small part of the coastline of the province of Toscana. The Ligurian province is very mountainous. Of the total area, 69% is 1000 meter above the sea level. A mere 3% of the province is flat.
The Ligurian Alps lie in the western part of Liguria, more to the east the mountains become part of the Appenine. The steepest mountain in the area lies in the Ligurian Alps and is called Monte Saccarello. It's height is 2200 meters above sea level. Liguria is also one of the greenest provinces of Italy. On the steep mountains you can find dense woods, where possible terraces are cultivated, which is very characteristic for this region. The Ligurian coast is 250 kilometers long.
The Riviéra is divided in four parts. The part from Ventimiglia to Albenga is called Riviéra dei Fiori (flower-riviéra). This part is known for its cultivation of flowers, vegetables and olive plantations. The other parts (from west to east) are called, Riviéra di Ponente, Riviéra di Levante and Riviéra della Versilia.
Liguria is an Italian region with four provinces; Genova, Imperia, La Spezia and Savona. Camping Bella Vista is located in Albenga, one of most important cities of the province of Savona.
Because of the difference in height the Ligurian vegetation is mixed. On the coastline you will find palm trees and other types of subtropical vegetation. All types of flowers like Geraniums, Roses and Orchids grow along the coast. The lower parts of the mountains have a variety of vegetation consisting of Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme and Broom. Especially spring is a very beautiful season to visit the Ligurian coast.
There are a number of nature areas around our camp site; Cinque Terre, the Portofino peninsula, the Ligurische Alps and a park around Finale Ligure.
Liguria covers an area of 330 km2 and has 1.760.000 inhabitants. About half the population lives in one of the four provincial capitals: Genua, La Spezia, Imperia and Savona. The remainder live predominantly on the coastline, the hinterland is thinly populated.
The Roman Catholic faith is very important to the Italian. You will notice this by the many churches and Maria-veneration's in the surroundings of Albenga. Churches are open all day, except lunchtime. Masses are held frequently.
The Riviéra has an agreeable climate all year round. The winters are mild, the temperature in January seldom falls below 10 Celsius but occasionally you may see some snow on the top of the mountains. Flowers and trees already start to bloom and grow in February. Expect some rainy days in March. The flowering time starts in earnest in May and June. The summers are sunny but not extremely so, the average daily temperature is around 28 degrees Celsius.
