Fidèle depuis des années, et toujours aussi conquis !
Liked: Cela fait maintenant plusieurs années que nous venons dans ce camping et c'est toujours un vrai plaisir. Chaque saison, on remarque de nouvelles améliorations, ce qui montre l'investissement de toute l'équipe. Le personnel est souriant, sympathique et toujours disponible. On s'y sent comme à la maison ! Nous comptons bien continuer à profiter de ce camping vraiment agréable pendant encore de nombreuses années. Merci à toute l'équipe !
Could be better: La cuisine de Fred est un incontournable de nos séjours, nous y allons chaque année avec plaisir ! Petite suggestion d'un habitué : ce serait sympa de découvrir de temps en temps de nouveaux plats à la carte. Et comme nous sommes fans des pâtes, une petite touche maison en plus sur la bolognaise et la carbonara les rendrait encore meilleures. Mais rien qui nous empêchera de revenir, bien au contraire !

Camping L'Étoile d'Or is a family-run 4-star campsite in Argelès-sur-Mer (Pyrénées-Orientales, South of France), between the Mediterranean beaches and the Albères mountains, close to Spain. An independent campsite run by the Marcoux family since 1969, it welcomes holidaymakers on a 10-hectare wooded estate with 412 pitches.
Mobile homes and cottages to rent (Standard and Privilège ranges, including a cottage adapted for reduced mobility) and pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, from April to the end of October.
540 m² pool area: covered pool with jacuzzi and lazy river (April to October, heated to 28 °C from April to the end of June and from September to October) and outdoor pool with water slide, waterfall, jacuzzi and paddling pool (June to September, heated to 28 °C in June and September).
Activities for children, teenagers and families in July and August; peace and nature in spring and autumn. La Marende beach is 2.5 km away on foot along a path, or 4.1 km by road.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
To benefit from our services, we kindly ask you to read the following General Terms and Conditions carefully. These conditions govern the sale of holidays and are applicable at the time of booking. By making a reservation, you fully accept these General Terms and Conditions.
1) BOOKING CONDITIONS
A booking becomes effective only after approval by Camping L’Étoile d’Or, receipt of the deposit and receipt of the duly completed and signed booking agreement, or acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions when booking online.
All bookings are subject to acceptance by Camping L’Étoile d’Or. The campsite reserves the right to accept or refuse any booking depending on availability or any circumstances likely to affect the proper fulfilment of the reservation.
Camping L’Étoile d’Or offers holidays intended for families in the traditional sense, and its accommodation is specifically designed for this purpose. The campsite reserves the right to refuse any booking that does not comply with this principle or attempts to circumvent it.
Bookings for camping pitches or rental accommodation are strictly personal. You may not sublet or transfer your booking without the campsite’s prior consent.
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Specific pitch or accommodation numbers cannot be guaranteed. The management reserves the right to change the allocated pitch or accommodation in the event of scheduling requirements or force majeure.
2) CAMPING PITCHES
The basic package includes a pitch for a tent, caravan or motorhome for one or two people, electricity, access for one vehicle only, and use of the sanitary facilities and campsite amenities.
Each pitch may accommodate a maximum of six people, regardless of age.
3) RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
All rental accommodation is fully equipped. Depending on the accommodation type, the standard capacity ranges from four to eight people, with access for one vehicle only.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse admission to families or groups exceeding the maximum occupancy of the accommodation booked.
Additional tents are not permitted.
All rental accommodation is strictly non-smoking.
Pets are not permitted in rental accommodation.
4) GROUP BOOKINGS
Any booking involving more than three accommodation units, whether made by the same individual or by different individuals who know each other and are travelling together for the same purpose and dates, is considered a group booking.
The accommodation advertised on the campsite’s booking website and in its commercial brochure is intended exclusively for individual customers.
For group booking enquiries, you must contact the campsite by email or telephone before making a reservation.
The campsite reserves the right to review each group booking request before accepting or refusing it.
5) PRICES AND TOURIST TAX
The advertised prices are valid for the season and may be subject to change.
Prices are expressed in euros per night, including VAT, but excluding booking fees, cancellation cover and tourist tax.
The campsite reserves the right to modify its prices at any time.
Holidays will be charged according to the rates applicable on the booking date, subject to availability.
Guests are advised to confirm the applicable price directly with the campsite.
The tourist tax is €0.86 per person per day for guests aged 18 and over.
6) PAYMENT TERMS
For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the holiday, a deposit equivalent to 30% of the total cost of the booked services must be paid at the time of reservation.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the arrival date.
For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
If the balance is not paid by the specified deadline, the campsite reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit already paid.
When paying with French holiday vouchers (Chèques-Vacances), the vouchers must be issued in the name of a person listed on the booking agreement.
7) CANCELLATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
A. Changes to your booking
Guests may request changes to their booking, including dates and/or accommodation type, by submitting a written request by post or email at least 30 days before arrival.
Changes are subject to availability and feasibility.
Bookings cannot be postponed to the following season.
Requests to extend the length of a stay are subject to availability and the prices applicable at the time of the request.
B. Unused services
Any holiday or service not used, interrupted or shortened by the guest, including late arrival or early departure, will not qualify for a refund, postponement or credit voucher.
C. Cancellation by the campsite
If Camping L’Étoile d’Or cancels a booking, all amounts paid will be refunded, except in cases of force majeure.
Such cancellation shall not entitle the guest to any additional compensation or damages.
D. Cancellation by the guest
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to info@camping-etoiledor.com or by post to the campsite.
Cancellation automatically terminates the booking, and the campsite reserves the right to offer the accommodation for rent again.
1. Guests without cancellation cover
If the guest has not purchased cancellation cover, Camping L’Étoile d’Or will retain all amounts already paid following cancellation of the booking.
2. Guests with cancellation cover (including COVID-19)
Refunds may be available up to the scheduled arrival date.
Camping L’Étoile d’Or offers optional cancellation and holiday interruption cover as part of the rental agreement.
The cost of cancellation cover is:
Rental accommodation: €5 per night.
Camping pitches: €3 per night.
If a covered event occurs, the guest must provide all necessary information and supporting documentation within 48 hours by email to info@camping-etoiledor.com.
The cover entitles guests to a refund or credit voucher if one of the events listed below occurs before arrival, but not during the holiday.
Upon presentation of official supporting documentation, the guest may receive a refund of the amount paid, less the cost of cancellation cover and booking fees.
Credit vouchers are valid for two years from their date of issue.
Covered events include:
Serious illness, serious accident or death of a family member, including parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, the equivalent relatives of a spouse, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Pregnancy complications occurring before the seventh month.
Significant damage to personal property requiring the guest's presence.
Redundancy for economic reasons.
Cancellation or changes to authorised holiday dates by the employer.
An accident involving, or total theft of, the guest's vehicle and/or caravan while travelling directly to the campsite.
COVID-19 infection affecting the guest or another person included in the booking.
Confirmed close contact with a COVID-19 case or compulsory quarantine due to COVID-19.
Being officially requisitioned as part of measures to combat COVID-19.
In the following specific circumstances, only a credit voucher valid for two years from its date of issue may be provided:
Border closures.
Declaration of a public health emergency.
Generalised quarantine or lockdown.
Administrative closure of the campsite.
These lists are exhaustive. No other circumstances will be covered, including personal reasons, separation or divorce.
8) YOUR STAY
1. Arrival
Arrival days may vary depending on the season. Please contact the campsite for further information.
Camping pitches are available from 3:00 pm.
Rental accommodation is available from 4:00 pm during the high season (July and August). Please contact us for arrival arrangements outside the high season.
No later than 48 hours before arrival, you must download the Cool'n Camp application and provide a €350 security deposit through our partner SWIKLY.
SWIKLY is a trusted third-party service that allows you to provide a security deposit using your bank card without the amount being charged or affecting your card's spending limit.
You will receive an email from SWIKLY containing a link to a form where you must enter your bank card details.
The security deposit will then be registered without any immediate charge or impact on your card limit.
In the event of a dispute at the end of your stay, SWIKLY will act as a trusted intermediary.
An inventory checklist will be provided and must be checked within 24 hours of arrival.
You must first download the Cool'n Camp application and create an account. If the application is unavailable or not functioning, a paper inventory checklist will be provided.
Any complaints submitted after the 24-hour period will not be accepted.
Only guests registered at the time of booking are authorised to stay at the campsite.
2. During your stay
Guests are responsible for arranging their own insurance cover.
Camping L’Étoile d’Or accepts no liability for theft, fire, adverse weather conditions or incidents falling under the guest's personal civil liability.
All guests must comply with the campsite's internal regulations.
The person named on the booking is responsible for any disturbances or nuisance caused by people staying with them or visiting them.
The swimming pool areas are reserved exclusively for registered campsite guests. Visitors are not permitted to use them.
3. Departure
Camping pitches must be vacated before 10:00 am.
Rental accommodation must also be vacated before 10:00 am.
The accommodation will be inspected upon departure.
If it is left perfectly clean, with no missing or damaged equipment, the security deposit will be released.
Otherwise, deductions may be made from the deposit. If the cost of damage or cleaning exceeds the deposit amount, additional compensation may be required.
If the accommodation has not been cleaned before departure, a minimum cleaning charge of €100 will apply.
Late departures may result in an additional day's charge at the applicable nightly rate.
9) PETS
Camping pitches
Pets are permitted on camping pitches, subject to an additional fee payable at the time of booking, except for dogs classified under French Category 1 or Category 2 legislation.
Where pets are permitted, they must be kept on a lead at all times.
Pets are not allowed around swimming pools, inside food shops or in campsite buildings.
Dogs and cats must have up-to-date vaccination records.
Rental accommodation
Pets are strictly prohibited in all rental accommodation.
10) GUESTS AND VISITORS
All guests and visitors must report to reception upon arrival.
Visitors are not permitted outside reception opening hours.
Visitors must park their vehicles in the designated visitor car park.
Visitors are not authorised to use the swimming pools, sports facilities, fitness room, sanitary facilities or other facilities reserved for campsite residents.
11) VEHICLES
Only one vehicle is permitted per camping pitch or rental accommodation unit.
Any additional vehicles must be parked in the external, unsupervised car park.
12) SWIMMING POOLS
All rules displayed at the swimming pool entrance must be strictly observed.
Children are not permitted to enter the swimming pool areas unless accompanied by an adult.
For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items are prohibited in the swimming pools:
Loose-fitting swimming shorts and board shorts.
T-shirts and other clothing.
Wetsuits.
Burkinis.
Any other clothing not specifically authorised for swimming.
Men must wear traditional swimming briefs or close-fitting swimming trunks.
Women must wear traditional one-piece or two-piece swimsuits.
13) BEHAVIOUR
Any malicious, insulting or aggressive behaviour, as well as discrimination, blackmail or harassment directed towards other guests or campsite employees, is strictly prohibited.
Please also be aware that security cameras are installed throughout the campsite.
14) WRISTBANDS
Each guest will receive a wristband at reception upon arrival.
The wristband must be worn visibly on the wrist throughout the stay.
It provides access to the campsite's facilities.
15) BARBECUES
Charcoal barbecues are strictly prohibited.
Only gas and electric barbecues are permitted.
16) DISPUTES
In the event of a dispute, jurisdiction shall be assigned to the competent court in Perpignan, France.
Any complaint concerning services that do not comply with contractual commitments must be submitted in writing to Camping L’Étoile d’Or within 30 days, by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.
17) MEDIATION
In the event of a dispute with our establishment, if our response does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the consumer mediation service:

18) LIABILITY OF CAMPING L’ÉTOILE D’OR
Guests expressly acknowledge that Camping L’Étoile d’Or cannot be held liable for false or inaccurate information published by its partners or third parties in brochures, on websites or on social media.
This includes, in particular, photographs, descriptions, activities, entertainment, services and opening dates.
All photographs and descriptions published in brochures or on websites are provided for information purposes only and are not contractually binding.
Certain activities or facilities advertised in promotional materials, brochures or on the website may be modified or cancelled, particularly due to weather conditions or circumstances constituting force majeure under French law.
19) IMAGE RIGHTS
You authorise Camping L’Étoile d’Or to photograph, audio-record or film you during your stay and to use the resulting photographs, audio recordings and videos in any media.
This includes, in particular, websites, social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, promotional materials, presentation documents and travel or tourism guides.
This authorisation applies both to you and to the people staying with you.
The sole purpose of such use is to promote and publicise the campsite and its activities. The images and recordings must not be used in any way that could damage your reputation.
This authorisation is granted free of charge, applies worldwide and remains valid for five years.
20) DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
The personal information you provide when making a reservation is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties.
It will be used exclusively to process your booking and to send personalised communications relating to Camping L’Étoile d’Or.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, rectify and object to the processing of your personal data.
To exercise these rights, please send a written request stating your full name and postal address.
You expressly authorise Camping L’Étoile d’Or, without compensation, to use photographs or videos in which you, your spouse or your children may appear for advertising or promotional purposes.
The campsite is also equipped with a CCTV surveillance system.
