Relaxation and Exploration

9.4 Justin R Couple September 2026

Liked: We booked one of the Eco Chalets which gave us privacy and plenty of room although further to walk to the site's facilities. Set in woodland it is a delightful place to stay with a clean pool and super friendly staff. Boussac village has eateries, supermarket and charm. We traveled by motorbike with the intention of exploring the area and it is well placed for many beautiful rides with a trip that took in Limoges and Aubusson being particularly memorable

Could be better: The woods and grounds were not quite as extensive as we had expected.

You feel, you belong here!

9.2 Poul J Senior couple August 2026

Liked: A calm atmosphere, personnal contact to owners and staff. Dedicated staff.

Could be better: Better information about programme. We stood at the wrong side, and did not se the notice. An evening meal where we sit together once a week

A lovely stay

8.6 Keith W Couple June 2026

Liked: Really hot weather helped and the pool is perfect. The bathroom facilitate lovely. There are lots of rules, especially around noise yet no one takes any notice. There is often entertainment which was great, BUT, drinkers hang around the area talking very loudly until 1 or 2 in the morning which let the whole thing down.

Could be better: Some of the outdoor equipment is looking a bit tired, such as the table tennis table.

Pitch

Lovely site, froendly helpful team.

8.2 Alan J Couple June 2026

About the area

The department of la Creuse, named after its river, lies in the Limousin. In this green, sparsely populated area small rivers cross the landscape of gently rolling hills, wooded slopes and hedgerows. 'Creuse' means accordingly 'deep' and 'quiet'. The Creuse valley contains numerous picturesque villages, painted by many artists of the Crozant School. Within a distance of 5 to 25 km, there are nice trips for young and old such as picnic -and playgrounds by an old watermill or near a Cisterian Abbey. On the river you also find the Chateau de Boussac, where George Sand wrote her novel 'Jeanne'. Here hang wonderful tapestries from the famous collection of Tapisserie d'Aubusson.
