Castel Camping Château de Poinsouze

Liked: The family & staff are very welcoming. Even take you to your pitch on arrival. Pitch size is excellent if you have a large caravan or motorhome. Easy access to the lake if you like fishing. We’ve already decided to book again next year.

Could be better: When using the shows on an evening the light timer switch doesn’t stay on long enough. You need to take a torch 🔦 with you which isn’t perfect.

Liked: Very large pitches around a beautiful lake. This camping is so chilled and relaxed and the steak in the restaurant is Devine. A great place to unwind.

Could be better: It is clear that there is gradual investment ongoing and all the better for it.

Liked: The campsite is located in a quiet area of France amongst rolling hills. It is situated around a lake and has a good range of facilities.

Could be better: No flip flops are allowed in the pool area, but on hot days the walk up to the steps to the pool burns your feet on the hot stone.

Liked: Very peaceful. Super friendly staff. Nice restaursnt

Could be better: Arrived early but told not to use pol until checked in. This is very unusual for French campsites. Especially in 38c Pool needs more sun shades

Liked: Met at the reception by the most friendliest people who showed us our pitch number. Pitch size was huge with wonderful view of the lake. Sanitary facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean. Perfect washing up area with ample hot water. Fantastic heated outdoor infinity pool ares with lovely setting looking out across the lake. The area around the pool very clean and tidy. Fabulous restaurant and bar. The beef Bourgogne is a must. All in all this is a dream location that I would 100% recommend

Liked: This is a fantastic campsite with excellent facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was the highlight! This should definitely be a 5 star site.

Could be better: Poor wifi, more space at restaurant on busy nights needed. When it is busy, there needs to be a better drinks service system than one person running in and out of the bar.

Liked: The site is excellent. Well maintained and set in a super location.

Could be better: The tap and shower outlets. They spray rather than act normal.

Liked: This campsite is family run and the pride which the owners and the staff take in their facility is obvious at every turn. The camping pitch with private facilities is the best we have ever had, level, shaded and spacious. The food in the bar restaurant is exceptional for a campsite, the staff are friendly and helpful. There is nature in abundance on the site. A relaxed vibe is infectious. The nearby village of Boussac has two decent supermarkets, good restaurants and twice weekly markets

Could be better: It would be lovely to be able to have a coffee with some bread or pastries at the bar terrace in the morning
