Camping L'Escapade

Liked: We stayed with 3 adults, 2 children in one of the safari tents. This was the perfect mix between camping and a chalet. The camping is small enough in scale to let the children roam safely to the divers activities while the adults have plenty of space near the tent to relax. The amenities we used (pool, cafe, ping pong tables, climbing, petting zoo) were all satisfactory but could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Liked: Really enjoyable and fun campsite , good pitches

Could be better: Toilet block often no toilet paper

Liked: Nice site well kept

Could be better: Too near the cabins with noisy occupants

Liked: Just a quick stopover for us and we didn't have time to reply evaluate the site

Liked: Quiet, picturesque, nice pool, big camping pitch, pleasant staff

Could be better: Number and availability of toilets and showers. During our stay only 1 block was open and only 2x toilets and 3x showers available. Minimal food (eg bread) available from reception shop.

Liked: Everybody was very friendly and helpful; very nice location at a small pond for fishing and with some animals

Could be better: The sanitary facilities were not working well and not well kept, especially the first block had hardly hot water, showers and some lights not working

Liked: We liked hearing the sounds of the birds, seeing the lovely open sky and found the camping ground nicely maintained. We also had a nice walk around the pond, which was a plus.

Could be better: We did not enjoy the food we ordered at the restaurant, the pitch we were given was too close to a mobile home and it was a bit noisy in the night, the barrier only operated between 7-11 and we needed to leave the campsite at 6am for our ferry, the pool smelt a bit mouldy.

Liked: Pro - First class reception, pool, bar facilities. Generous pitches, lovely location.

Could be better: Cons- for elderly or disabled a long way and for some reason the only disabled toilet had large wooden door bolted shut each day! Not easy to open if you are disabled! No toilet seats! Some toilets and shower doors locked limiting choice?! Drop tag for showers, no other site has this. Refuse collection again a long way from site and difficult for those with mobility issues. Need another collection point at top of site. Motorhome service area small and tight for manoeuvres.

Liked: Lovely clean and well maintained Staff very friendly.

Could be better: A kettle would be good as we dont drink coffee so had to boil water in a pan. Something to make toast with would be good too. No sun brollys at pool to get into the shade

Liked: This was a fishing trip with my grandsons we enjoyed it we fished the small lake plenty of small fish it was good sport we didn't have any look on the big lake though.

Could be better: We arrived on Sunday I thought there was a shop on site it turned out to be a few things at reception I think a fully stocked shop would be a great advantage.
