Camping La Ferme Des Saules

Liked: The welcome was very friendly and helpful, the lady in reception showed us round the site on a golf cart, pointing out everything we could need and letting us choose our own pitch location. Nearly all of the signs are repeated in English, making it easy if like me your French is rusty. There are cooking facilities, pots, utensils etc. you can use, and you can borrow many other items such a irons for just a deposit. Reception has good hours, open until 7pm, as is the shop which is well stocked.

Liked: Our second stay here, our choice for overnight stay before Le Shiuttle crossing next morning, all staff are so welcoming, all amenities are great and the farm shop is a big bonus and the animals.

Liked: A good base for exploring the World War 1 museums and cemeteries in the Ypres area. There was a guided tour of the site on arrival. The shop on site was well stocked.

Could be better: Clearer signage to indicate the entrance door to reception.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay here for 9 nights. Really close to Belgium to explore all the cycling routes and close enough to lots of places. We enjoyed having a big pitch with privacy. It was busy but never seemed crowded. The farm shops and communal area is a big plus and the people running it were superb. Everything was as we hoped.

Could be better: Slightly deeper clean on the loos, but it was through peak summer - and the loo roll situation is strange but you get used to it

Liked: We stopped for one night after leaving the ferry at Calais en route to Luxembourg. This site has everything for the perfect pit stop. Facilities were clean and plenty. Cute trampoline for the kids to play on which kept mine entertained. Short drive to the main town which is very pretty and some lovely bars and restaurants. We would definitely return here for another night or two.
