About this campsite

Camping les Ripettes is a rural 3 *campsite, surrounded by fields but only 4km from the picturesque town of Pont de Vaux. It is a small, friendly and pretty campsite, with lots of flowers and mature trees to offer shade in the summer. The pitches are extremely spacious so no one ever feels crowded here. Lots to do both on site and in the area. Cycle routes adjacent to the campsite.

Great little camping site

Liked: We were greeted very friendly upon arrival. Information about the camping was presented in our own language (Dutch) and everything was explained clearly. The bread we ordered for the next day was splendid.

Could be better: Don't expect any take away food service. This is not available on all days. We knew, so we anticipated on that and a Super U is really near by.

Liked: Booked a stopover here on way back from south coast - little gem of a site! Owners were lovely and probably one of the largest pitches we have ever had. Beautifully kept, great little pool, children's play area, showers and wash up area with plenty of hot water. Very peaceful- thanks for our stay!

Could be better: Not sure any improvements are necessary- it's lovely and unspoilt as it is

Liked: The campsite is well kept with beautiful large pitches many with shade from mature trees. Separation of the pitches is mainly by mature hedging. The owners are charming and extremely helpful and speak English reasonably well. The toilet facilities are a little dated but are kept scrupulously clean. The swimming pool is a decent size and depth and a pizza van visits on a Sunday evening.

Liked: We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Les Ripettes: from the friendly and informative welcome, to the beautifully green and spacious pitch with a stunning view, to the clean and efficient sanitary facilities. The atmosphere everywhere was quiet and cozy. We only had three nights there, but immediately reserved four more for later this month on our way home. Totally recommended!

Could be better: Perhaps the water in the showers could be a wee bit warmer.
