Wild Camping on the Roseland Peninsula
Can I wild camp on the Roseland Peninsula? That’s an excellent question, and you’re certainly not the first to ask. As with the rest of the UK, wild camping is prohibited on the Roseland Peninsula. Exceptions are more commonly made for people camping in a tent, but it’s more difficult in a campervan.
It’s possible to find places for overnight parking on the Roseland Peninsula using apps such as Britstops and Park4Night. We recommend always checking with the owner of the land, and never staying more than one night. Also, remember that these places are not suitable for full camping behaviour - e.g. taking out your awning or outdoor cooking- and for that, you should stay at one of the many Roseland Peninsula camping sites.

You can never go wrong with a Caravan and Motorhome Club site! This campsite is ideal for your first visit to the Truro area. It’s right beside a scenic coastal path, so you can easily start the day with a gorgeous walk.
This campsite consists of spacious pitches over a well-landscaped parkland location. There’s a playground and play area on-site, as well as a dog walking area for your furry friend. If you feel too tired to cook after a day of exploring, have no fear, a fish and chip van frequently visits the site!

2. Magor Farm Campsite
On the outskirts of Camborne, you’ll find this picturesque campsite. It’s located in the quiet hamlet of Tehidy, which assures you a serene atmosphere and no noise. It’s only a few minutes away from the National Trust beach of Godrevy and its famous lighthouse.
This campsite first started in the mid-60s, when they began accepting campers onto their field. It’s developed over the years but retained its simplicity. This is the perfect campsite for people looking for something laid-back and rustic, with no bells and whistles. There’s a wash block and wash-up area, but that’s the extent of the facilities.

3. Roselands Caravan Camping Park
Looking for dog-friendly campsites on the Roseland Peninsula? Then Roselands Caravan Camping Park could be exactly what you’re looking for! This family-run site offers various accommodation options, including touring pitches. It’s close to Land’s End, and near St Just and Penzance.
This site is perfect for surfers, as the world-famous surfing hotspot of Sennen Cove is a mere five minutes away. For supper, you can head to the picturesque fishing port of St Ives to enjoy some fresh catch!

In the heart of Poldark country, you’ll find Tower Park. This campsite is surrounded by miles of award-winning beaches, including family favourites like Porthcurno and Sennen Cove.
They consider themselves to be best suited for families and activity holidays, as they feature large grassy pitches and plenty of room for children to play. There’s a TV room and WIFI on-site.
In the high season, you can take advantage of the visiting takeaway food vans, including wood-fired pizzas and fish and chips!

The Osborne family have been running this campsite for over fifty years, and it comes from a true passion for camping and the outdoors. From your pitch, you’ll have views over the Atlantic coast and moors, providing the best start to your day.
