After renting campervans ourselves in the UK, Europe and New Zealand we found that driving larger vans around is tiring, dangerous and just isn't as fun as a compact vehicle. Tight corners, narrow roads and limited options to park and camp.
Through some research we found that the majority of damages to campervans are from breaking wing mirrors and scratching panels from manoeuvring and narrow streets.

We decided to convert the Kia PV5 into a campervan. It drives amazingly well. Is no wider than a car but still fits a full king size bed inside, and full of modern driving safety and assistance features.
It also helps that its got a built in Camping Mode so can power your AC, heating, devices and cooking equipment all from its own EV battery, fully off grid.

You can get anywhere with no worries on the small Scottish roads and narrow cities, making it ideal to discover Scotland.
