To me there is nothing better than being able to be by a beach in the pouring rain or howling wind, and cradle a warm mug of tea (or something stronger) and watch the waves and the seabirds dipping and diving. Unless it's being by the beach in beautiful warm sunshine and recovering after a brilliant session of bodyboarding! We have been visiting Cornwall and North Devon for the past 25 years, and always staying in a tent or caravan. Now we are starting to do it in a camper van and loving it. Other times we literally just go out somewhere relatively local for the day. Sometimes those daily trips are as restorative as the longer ones! As for us? We love music (of soo many genres), walking (we're currently walking along all of Bristol's waterways) and cinema and food with family and friends.
