We started our camper van journey after borrowing a family member's VW for a long weekend trip around the Cornish coast. We fell in love with the freedom a camper van offers over being in a tent and vowed to buy our own van. Since purchasing Bertie, we've had many happy family holidays in France and around the UK, from Scotland, the Lakes to Penzance and many places in between.

We love being able to take short trips away and every year we make at least one long trip through Europe. Our furthest so far was a two week trip to Croatia, stopping in the Ardennes, Black Forest, Austrian Alps, Dolomites, Slovenia and ending in a week stay in a villa in Split.

My favourite destination to take the van is The Lakes. I love the mountains, the hiking and biking on offer there. We've been taking family and friend trips there for 20 years.
